AP LAWCET Eligibility Criteria is set by Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapuramu on behalf of APSCHE. It states that an Indian National satisfying local/ non-local status along with academic and age requirements are eligible to register for the exam.
AP LAWCET 2020will be conducted for 5-year and 3 year LLB programs in the first week of May. across 16 exam centres in AP.
The eligibility for both the programs are different in terms of age limit and minimum marks in qualifying examination.
When acquinted with the eligibility norms, candidates can fill their AP LAWCET 2020 Registration form which will be released in the 2nd week of March 2020.

The following eligibility criteria are applicable to applicants of both programs- 5-year LLB and 3-year LLM.
On the basis of Residence (Domicile)
An Indian citizen who is a native resident of Andhra Pradesh
Indian citizen and whose one or both parents were domiciles of Andhra Pradesh
Indian citizen and whose both or any one of the parents had studied Andhra Pradesh
On the basis of Age Limit
For the state-level law entrance examination, the authorities have set no upper age limit for a candidate to apply online.
3 Year LLB
A candidate should be a minimum of 21 years of age at the time of the exam.
5 Year LLB
Candidates should be minimum of 17-years of age at the time of the exam.
Number of Attempts in AP LAWCET
A salient feature of AP LAWCET is that there is no limit on the number of attempts. Candidates can take the state level law entrance exam as many times as they want.
It is held annually, candidates hailing from Andhra Pradesh who are not satisfied with their performance in other national level law entrance exams like CLAT, have a good opportunity to score in AP LAWCET.
Note: There is a relaxation of 5% of marks for 3 year / 5 year Law course in favour of the candidates belonging to SC / ST and relaxation of 3% of marks for candidates belonging to other backward classes.
AP LAWCET Eligibility 2020: LLM Program
A candidate must have completed a graduation degree in 10+2+3 format.
The minimum qualifying percentage is 45 per cent marks in the qualifying examination.
In case a candidate does not have a graduation degree, then they should have passed an additional degree/ post-graduation with 45% marks.
Candidates of reserved category of SC/ST category must have 40% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.
