AP LAWCET 2018 Result has been released on the official portal of APSCHE (sche.ap.gov.in).  Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapuramu conducted the law entrance examination on April 19 in online mode. The answer keys were released on April 23. The paper had three sections, Section 1 – General Knowledge & Mental Ability; Section 2 – Current Affairs and Section 3 – Aptitude for the Study of Law. There are more than 50 law colleges that accepts APLAWCET scores.

Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test or AP LAWCET is a state level law entrance exam conducted by Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapuramu. Nearly 30,000 candidates register each year. How to Check APLAWCET 2018 Result?

The results will be announced on the official website of APSCHE. Keep handy your roll number, application form number and password to check the same. Steps to check APLAWCET result are as follows:

Step 1: Visit the official website of APLAWCET

Step 2: Click on the link for ‘APLAWCET 2018 Results’

Step 3: Enter the Login ID, Roll Number, Password and Date of Birth

Step 4: Check your result and take a print out of the same.

In case where two or more candidates score the same marks then tie-breaking criteria are followed. It is as follows:

  1. Higher marks in Part C of APLAWCET 2018 will be ranked higher.
  2. If the tie still remains, candidate who has more marks in Part B will be ranked higher.
  3. If the tie still remains, candidate who is older (with respect to age) will be given preference.

APLAWCET Rank Card

The rank card will be available for download on the official website of the law entrance exam after one week of results being published by the authorities. Steps to view APLAWCET 2018 Rank Card are listed below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of APLAWCET 2018.

Step 2: Click on ‘View Your Rank Card’ link.

Step 3: Enter APLAWCET hall ticket number, registration number and date of birth (in dd/mm/yyyy) format.

Step 4: Click on ‘View Rank Card’ button.

Step 5: View the rank card and take clear print it.

Q. What are the qualifying marks in APLAWCET 2018?
Ans. As per the official website – Qualifying marks in APLAWCET 2018 is 35% (i.e 42 Marks out of 120 marks) and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST candidates”.

APLAWCET Counselling 2018

Candidates having their names in the merit list are eligible to participate in APLAWCET counselling procedure. Merit list will be published at the official website of APLAWCET 2018. There are two stages involved in the counselling procedure viz.

Stage 1 – Document Verification

In this stage, report at the designated Help Line Centers to get all the documents verified. After successful verification, candidates can then proceed to Stage 2 of APLAWCET Counselling.

  • Memorandum of marks of SSC or equivalent
  • Memorandum of marks of Intermediate or equivalent
  • Memorandum of marks in Qualifying Examination
  • Provisional / Degree Certificate of Qualifying Examination 
  • Study / Residence Certificate for the previous 7 years of study to prove as local candidate of a particular area of Andhra Pradesh / Telangana or Non-Local
  • Integrated Community Certificate (In Case of SC/ST/BC Caste Certificate)
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Income Certificate (obtained on or after 1-1-2017 for Scholarships)

Stage 2 – Exercising Web Options

It is an online mode, candidates are required to select the colleges as per their preference. It is suggested to go through details of participating universities before submitting the options.

Who can apply for APLAWCET 2018?

The eligibility norms for the examination are set by APSCHE. Before applying, check the standards mentioned below:

On the Basis of Nationality

  • Candidates belonging to the state of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Candidates whose parents have studied in Andhra Pradesh or any one parent is a domicile of AP.

Educational Qualification for LLB (3 years)

  • a Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration from any discipline
  • a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam (40% for SC/ST candidates)
  • final year candidates are also eligible to apply for APLAWCET

Educational Qualification for LLB (5 years)

  • Intermediate graduates or equivalent exam from any recognized board.
  • a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam (40% for SC/ST candidates)
  • Final year candidates are also eligible to apply for the law examination

APLAWCET Age Limit

  • There is no prescribed upper age limit for APLAWCET 2018.
  • The minimum age to apply for the exam is 21 years.

APLAWCET 2018 Form Correction

Form Correction Dates: April 8 – April 9, 2018

A one-time facility will be provided to make corrections in the application form of APLAWCET. Candidates can make few corrections via online mode and others by making a written request to the Convener.

Release of APLAWCET Admit Card 2018: April 12 onwards

APLAWCET Hall Ticket is issued to successfully registered candidates. It is available at the official website. You can download it using your registration ID and date of birthAPLAWCET 2018 Admit Card contains details such as:

APLAWCET Exam Pattern 2018

APLAWCET 2018 Exam Date: April 19

Common Entrance Test will be a Computer Based Test, having objective type questions. A candidate’s aptitude in the Law subject is tested through this examination. 

  • As per APLAWCET Exam Pattern, there are 120 questions to be completed within 90 minutes.
  • Maximum marks that can be scored is 120.
  • Each question carries 1 mark and there is no provision of negative marking.

  • Standard of questions in 5 year LLB will be of the Intermediate level (10+2 Class).

Ques. I am an Intermediate graduate (Class 12th student) of Andhra Pradesh open board, am I eligible to appear for APLAWCET?

Ans. If you are an Indian Citizen from AP and clear the criteria of minimum qualifying examination, then you are eligible to apply online for APLAWCET 2018.

Ques. Is there any option to write APLAWCET in offline mode?

Ans. No, the exam will be conducted in online mode only. Therefore, there is no option to attempt the exam in offline mode.

Ques. What is the age limit to appear for the exam?

Ans. As per the official notification and the Supreme Court’s order, there is no age bar to appear for LAWCET 2018.

Ques. Is there any requirement of computer skills for appearing in APLAWCET 2018?

Ans.  Law aspirants’ appearing for APLAWCET only needs to operate the computer mouse. Therefore, having a basic knowledge about the same is all that is required.
