BHU UET is an entrance exam to get into one of the most prestigious universities of India called Banaras Hindu University. Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi is conducting BHU UET 2019 as a gateway to its B.A.(H), B.Com. (H), B.A. LL.B. (Hons), LL.B., B.P.Ed., B.P.A., B.F.A. B.Voc., B.Ed. programmes. The exam is scheduled for multiples dates from May 12 to 16, 2019.

BHU UET 2019 is the common entrance test for numerous courses. There is a separate exam conducted for each stream. In a stream, different papers are there for different subjects. Let’s see the pattern in detail.

BHU UET 2019 Exam Pattern for B.A (Hons.):

In B.A (Hons.), there are two subjects namely B.A (Hons.) in Arts and B.A (Hons.) in Social Sciences. So, two tests are conducted for B.A degree. Both the papers follow same basic exam pattern, only the syllabus differs.

BHU UET 2019 Marking Scheme

BHU UET 2019 is the common battleground for all streams but marking scheme is similar for all the test papers.

  • There are 150 questions in one question paper of BHU UET 2019.
  • Each question carries three marks.
  • Maximum marks that a candidate can achieve are 450.
  • Candidates are rewarded three marks for every correct answer.
  • In case of a wrong response, one mark is deducted from the scored marks.
  • No marks are given for questions left unanswered.
  • If a candidate marks two options in a single question that is considered wrong and negative marking is applicable.
  • No special types of questions are there in BHU UET 2019.

Important Instructions for BHU UET 2019

Here are some of the points that students should keep in mind.

  • Aspirants need to reach the assigned exam centre of BHU UET 2019 at least an hour before the scheduled time.
  • Entrants reaching test centre of BHU UET 2019 after 30 minutes of scheduled time won’t be allowed in the examination hall under any condition.
  • Candidates need to carry admit card of BHU UET 2019 as issued to them.
  • Candidates are provided one question paper for the programme and they are required to answer it on an OMR sheet.
  • Candidates get 10 minutes to read the guidelines and to cross-check number of pages, misprints.
  • Candidates must report to the invigilator in case of any inconsistency regarding BHU UET Test booklet.
  • Students need to carry Ink/Ball Point pen of Blue or Black color to attempt the test paper.
  • Blind or imperfect vision candidates can avail facility of scribe/writer by sending a request application to BHU.
  • Candidates cannot carry materials including watches, pager, calculator, mobile phones, electronic diary, earphones, alarm clock, side ruler etc.
  • Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall before the test timings are over.

Hi Preeti, The online application form for BHU UET 2019 has begun from January 20, 2019 and the last date to fill form is February 19, 2019. BHU UET 2019 entrance test is held through offline mode only i.e. pen and paper mode.

Hi Ayush, The basic eligibility of this course is Candidate must pass in 10 2 or equivalent Examination securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in the subjects Physics, Maths plus any one of the following: Chemistry, Statistics, Geology, Computer Science, Information Technology and Geography and must have passed in each of the concerned three subjects (as supported by the Certificate issued by the Examining body). And Admission is based on undergraduate entrance test (UET) conduct by Banaras Hindu University.
