Banaras Law Entrance Test (BLAT) is the name for Banaras Hindu University’s (BHU, Varanasi) law admission process for the BA LLB (5-year Integrated Hons.) and LLB (3-year Hons.) programmes at the Faculty of Law. From the 2022–23 admissions cycle, BHU replaced the standalone BLAT written exam with the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) — BA LLB admissions now use CUET UG scores, while LLB admissions use CUET PG scores. What is BLAT Application Form 2027?

BLAT — Banaras Law Entrance Test — is the informal name for BHU’s law admission process. The Faculty of Law at Banaras Hindu University offers two programmes: the BA LLB (Hons.) 5-year Integrated programme for 10+2 students, and the LLB (Hons.) 3-year programme for graduates. BLAT Application Form 2027: Important Dates

No official BLAT 2027 schedule has been announced as of September 2026. The dates below are based on the 2025–26 cycle pattern. LLB aspirants should check pgcuet.samarth.edu.in from October 2026 onwards — CUET PG 2027 registration is expected imminently. Events are listed in chronological order; all are upcoming as of today.

BLAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria (Before You Apply)

Verify your eligibility before the BLAT 2027 window opens. BHU admits only CUET-qualified students who also meet its programme-specific eligibility criteria. Applications from ineligible students are rejected and the fee is not refunded.

BHU is a Central University — there is no domicile or state-specific restriction. Students from all states and union territories can apply. Students currently in Class 12 (for BA LLB) or their final year of graduation (for LLB) may also apply, but must submit qualifying marksheets at the time of counselling.

How to Fill BLAT Application Form 2027

BLAT 2027 involves a two-stage online process. Phase 1 is your CUET registration and exam on the NTA portal. Phase 2 is the BHU-specific application on BHU’s samarth portal, which opens only after NTA declares CUET results. Both phases are mandatory — missing either disqualifies you from BHU law admissions.

Phase 1: CUET Registration (NTA Portal)

LLB applicants: register for CUET PG 2027 at pgcuet.samarth.edu.in (expected October–November 2026). BA LLB applicants: register for CUET UG 2027 at cuetug.nta.nic.in (expected January–February 2027).

1. Visit the relevant CUET portal and click “New Registration”.
2. Enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID exactly as on your Class 10 certificate.
3. Verify your mobile number and email ID via OTP. Set a strong password and note your CUET Application Number — you will need it throughout the admission process.
4. Fill in personal and academic details. Select your test paper combination: for BA LLB, choose the Language and General Aptitude Test; for LLB, choose the CUET PG Law paper.
5. Select up to 4 exam city preferences in order of priority.
6. Upload your passport-size photograph and signature in the format and size NTA specifies.
7. Pay the CUET registration fee and download the CUET confirmation page.
8. Appear for the CUET exam on the allotted date and download your NTA scorecard after results are declared.

Phase 2: BHU Application (BHU Samarth Portal)

LLB: apply at bhucuetpg.samarth.edu.in. BA LLB: apply at bhucuet.samarth.edu.in. Both open only after CUET 2027 results are announced.

1. Visit the BHU admission portal for your programme and click “New Registration”. Use your CUET Application Number and mobile/email to create your BHU login.
2. Fill in personal details: name, date of birth, gender, category (General/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD), and nationality.
3. Fill in academic details: qualifying exam board, year of passing, roll number, and marks/CGPA.
4. Enter your CUET 2027 score / Application Number as required by the BHU portal for merit-list processing.
5. Upload your recent photograph, signature, marksheets, CUET scorecard, and other documents in the formats specified below.
6. Review all entries carefully — pay special attention to your name, DOB, category, and CUET details before proceeding.
7. Pay the BHU application fee via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
8. Submit the form and download the BHU application confirmation page — keep a printout safe until admissions are complete.

How to Use the CUET Correction Window

1. Log in to your CUET portal during the active correction window.
2. Click “Application Form Correction” (visible only when the window is live).
3. Edit the required fields, re-upload documents if needed, and submit.
4. Download the revised CUET confirmation page — this replaces your original; keep it safe.
