DAVUET 2027 Eligibility Criteria

How to Prepare for DAVUET 2027

DAVUET is based entirely on CBSE Class 11 and Class 12 content. If you study NCERT books thoroughly and solve their exercises, you cover the foundation of 80%+ of the exam. The rest of your preparation is about speed, accuracy, and managing negative marking.

Subject-wise Preparation Strategy

• Physics: Start with NCERT theory for every chapter. Focus on Mechanics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, and Optics — these typically form the bulk of the Physics section. Solve numerical problems from NCERT exercises first, then practise previous year DAVUET question papers for speed.
• Chemistry: Organic Chemistry tends to have more questions in DAVUET. Make short notes on reaction mechanisms and functional group changes. For Physical Chemistry, practise numericals on Electrochemistry and Chemical Kinetics regularly. Inorganic Chemistry is mostly memory-based — use comparison tables for p-block and d-block elements.
• Mathematics: Calculus (Integration, Differentiation, Differential Equations) typically carries the highest weightage in the Mathematics section. Practise a minimum of 15–20 problems per topic. Vectors and 3D Geometry are relatively scoring — spend extra time on these close to the exam date.
• Biology: DAVUET Biology is concept-based rather than diagram-heavy. Human Physiology, Genetics and Evolution, and Biotechnology are high-priority topics. NCERT diagrams for Cell Biology and Plant Physiology chapters are important for visual memory.

General Preparation Tips

• Solve at least 3–5 previous year DAVUET question papers under timed conditions before the exam.
• Build accuracy first, then speed. Once you are comfortable with the concepts, set a target of 60–70 seconds per question to finish in time.
• Because of negative marking, practise selective answering. If you are less than 60% confident of an answer, skip it — leaving it blank saves more marks than guessing wrong.
• Create a 3-week revision schedule before the exam. Cover all chapters at least once and dedicate extra time to high-weightage topics.
• Take full-length mock tests to simulate actual exam conditions. This improves time management and reduces exam-day anxiety.
