DU Admission 2020: 9,700 Students Apply for Admission On first Day Under Second Cutoff List; Check Details Here

Following the release of Delhi University second cutoff list, around 9,700 students have applied for admission in the University affiliated colleges on the very first admission day, October 19.

Students seeking admission in Delhi University can apply for admission under the second cutoff list till October 21, along with the payment of admission fee till October 23. 

As per the DU second cutoff list, Lady Shri Ram college has set 100 percent admission score for three courses, namely, BA (Hons.) Political science, BA (Hons.) Psychology and BA (Hons.) Economics. 

Many DU affiliated colleges have also closed admission to some popular courses in the second cutoff list. BA (Hons.) English is not featured in colleges like DDU, Hindu College, IP College, Kamla Nehru College, SPM College and Sri Aurobindo College.

Likewise, students seeking admission in BA (Hons.) Economics can no longer take admission in DU affiliated colleges like Daulat Ram CollegeDelhi College of Arts and CommerceKirori Mal College, Gargi College, PGDAV college, and Kamla Nehru College.

In the second cutoff list, LSR college of DU has set the percentage for many courses at 99%. Same is the admission scene at Miranda House, where entry level percentage for popular courses is set above 97%.

One of the top preferred colleges of DU, Shri Ram College of Commerce still has seats available in the second cutoff list. But as accepted the cutoff set is high, 99% for BA (Hons.) Economics and 98.50% forB.Com (Hons.).

Hindu College has kept the BA (Hons.) Philosophy minimum entry percentage same as the DU first cutoff, 97%. Whereas SGTB Khalsa College has closed the admission for many courses in the second admission list.

Almost 50% seats have already been filled in the DU first cutoff list released on October 10. 

It has been found that there are some discrepancies in the DU second cutoff list released for some of the affiliated colleges. In this light, the varsity has released corrigendum. As per the corrigendum released by the Sri Venkateswara College"In reference to the second cut off for Sri Venkateswara College UG Admissions 2020-2021. The UG admission for B.Com (Hons) under EWS category for second cut-off was inadvertently posted 93.50. It may be read as 97.50 instead of 93.50 for the second cut off.” Read College Wise Corrigendum Here
