Delhi University has released the CSAS UG 2026 simulated ranks on July 12. Candidates can reorder preferences till July 13 at 4:59 PM. The first seat allotment list will be announced on July 16 at 5 PM.

The University of Delhi (DU) has released the CSAS UG 2026 simulated ranks on the official admission portal at ugadmission.uod.ac.in. The simulated rank list was published on July 12, 2026, at 5 PM for candidates who completed Phase 2 registration. It shows a candidate's tentative position based on the programme and college preferences saved so far.
The University has also opened a preference-change window from July 12 (5 PM) to July 13 (4:59 PM). Candidates must save any changes before the deadline, as unsaved preferences will not be considered for the first seat allotment.
What Does the Simulated Rank List Show?
The simulated rank list is a mock trial based on the current preferences submitted by all candidates. It gives students an idea of the college and programme they may receive if allotment were conducted today. However, it does not guarantee the same seat in the final Phase 1 allotment.
Candidates should use this opportunity to review their choices, move preferred colleges higher in the list, or remove programmes they no longer wish to join. Only preferences saved by July 13, 4:59 PM will be considered for the Phase 1 seat allotment.
Which Colleges Are Most Preferred?
The DU CSAS 2026 simulated rank data reveals significant shifts in college preferences compared to previous years. Dyal Singh College has emerged as one of the top six most preferred colleges, entering the highly competitive preference list for the first time. This marks a major shift in candidate preferences, indicating growing interest in this institution among Delhi University aspirants.
However, not all colleges have maintained their previous popularity. Sri Ramakrishna College of Commerce (SRCC), traditionally one of the most sought-after colleges, has fallen out of the top five preferences in 2026.
This represents a notable change in the preference landscape, suggesting candidates are diversifying their choices across multiple institutions. Other colleges have also experienced fluctuations in demand based on program offerings, campus facilities, and placement records.
The preference shift reflects changing priorities among candidates. Some colleges have seen increased demand due to improved infrastructure, better placement outcomes, or newly introduced programs.
Conversely, colleges with stagnant offerings or lower placement records have witnessed a decline in candidate preferences. This data from the simulated rank list provides valuable insights into which colleges are gaining traction and which are losing appeal among 2026 aspirants.

What Happens After Phase 1 Allotment on July 16?
The Phase 1 seat allotment list will be released on July 16, 2026, at 5 PM. Candidates who receive a seat must accept it within the prescribed window, otherwise the offer will be treated as declined for that round.
After seat acceptance, colleges will verify uploaded documents between July 16 and July 20. Candidates must then pay the admission fee by July 21 to confirm their admission. Missing the payment deadline will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
The simulated rank is the only preview DU offers before the real allotment. It is the last checkpoint to catch a wrong preference order. Once the July 13 deadline passes, no edits are allowed for Phase 1.
