Gujarat University has opened GCAS Vacant Seat Based Counselling 2026 for UG admissions. Registration is open from July 5 to July 15 at gcas.gujgov.edu.in. The first merit list will be released on July 6.
The Education Department, Government of Gujarat has opened the Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) Vacant Seat Based Counselling (VSBC) 2026 for undergraduate programmes. The registration window has opened on the official portal at gcas.gujgov.edu.in. It will remain active from July 5, 2026, to July 15, 2026.
The VSBC round is meant to fill seats left vacant after earlier regular merit rounds. It gives fresh applicants and unallotted candidates one more chance to secure a UG seat. The first VSBC merit list is scheduled for release on July 6, 2026.

Who Can Apply for GCAS VSBC 2026?
The VSBC round is open to eligible UG aspirants seeking admission in Gujarat University affiliated colleges and other participating state universities. Fresh candidates who missed earlier rounds may apply. Registered candidates who did not receive an allotment can also participate.
Applicants must have cleared their qualifying examination, which is Class 12 or equivalent. They must meet the eligibility rules of their chosen programme and college.

How to Register for GCAS VSBC 2026?
Follow the steps below to complete registration on the GCAS portal.
- Visit the official website at gcas.gujgov.edu.in.
- Click on the registration tab for UG admissions.
- Enter your name, course, date of birth, category, gender, email, and mobile number.
- Click on “Get OTP” to receive the OTP and username on your mobile and email.
- Login using the credentials sent to you.
- Fill in academic details and upload the required documents.
- Select your preferred colleges and programmes as choices.
- Submit the application and save the confirmation page.
