Remarks

The college is full of opportunities, if you make the most of it. If you use your time properly, there won't be anything you wouldn't be satisfied about, be it academics, sports, life lessons, jobs, placements, higher studies. I would say that this college is very good for the overall development of a student.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is very good. We are introduced to basics from all the engineering branches in our first year and next year onwards we study course related to our specialisation. The evaluation is done all over the semester. We have 2 tests before the mid semester exams, then the mid semester's exams then again 2 tests before the comprehensive exam. The evaluation is labs is done continuously every week.

Placement Experience

4.5

Yes, the placement unit of our college is very good, and they have done excellent work in the previous years. The opportunities are very good for the placements, big companies come to college for placements and internship offers. The college provides us compulsory internships at the end of second year and in the fourth here. The rest is upto us, to clear the placement interviews. I will be going for internships next year in summers, it doesn't include any stipend though.

College Events

2.5

There are 3 major fests done in the college over the year, namely, Waves- the cultural fest, Quark- the tech fest, and Spree- the sports fest. Many colleges from all over the country are invited to take part in the fests. We have many companies sponsoring us in the fests. The events are very good and these fests help for the overall development of a student.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I would say that the fee structure is pretty expensive, but that is acceptable considering the opportunities we get here. But the fees increasing every year is a major issue for many people here as it's quite difficult for a middle class family to afford it but the college provides merit cum need scholarships for those who can't afford the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college has a merit cum need scholarship facility available for students having a decent grade and the family income being lower than a threshold, I've heard that to be 8 lakhs per annum. Also, their is a bank inside the campus, and they provide a loan facility for the students, many students take that.

Campus Life

3.5

The labs are very good and we have all major equipments and they are being improved every year. The sports facilities are quite good but it could be improved a lot. We have a football ground, 4 basketball courts, and a student activity center which has table tennis, carrom, gym and squash. There are clubs for each sport and we play professional in various tournaments across the country.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are pretty good, we get a table, wardrobe and a bed. The water facilities are good, The toilets can be improved but they aren't too bad either. Drinking and smoking isn't allowed on campus. The hostels are cleaned daily. We have a common room in our hostels which has a TV, table tennis, carrom board and a foosball table.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of BITS Pilani is very strong. The seniors are very helpful. We have a department named Alumni Relations which helps in proper mentorship of the students by their seniors. Various meetings and sessions are conducted where seniors guide us regarding our academics and the placement scenarios. They also share their stories regarding how they achieved and what did they have to do during the college years.

Admission

I registered for the bitsat exam. I took the test and got the required score to apply. I filled out the application form. The selection rounds began soon which consisted of various iterations. I got my desired branch in the 2nd iteration. I reached the campus after all the rounds to do the formalities and then I registered for the courses.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is good but there is a language barrier sometimes. Most of the faculty is really helpful and very well trained and have good knowledge of the courses. Though some faculty could be improved, but the opinions vary person to person. So yes, I feel that some of the faculty could be improved, but there isn't much issue.

Placement Experience:

I have no clue but the highest placements are in Computer and IT branches. Civil has probably the least placement. The quality is good thanks to IIT and NIT being in the same campus thus the big companies that come to those colleges also come to our colleges but they prefer those students more because NIT and IIT are more prestigious colleges.

Campus placement is okay okay but not that great . Mech and civil don't have that much package avg of around 6 lakh and i guess only 10-11 got placed .. and 16-17 was eligibile for it. For eligible to placement you don't have any backlog in any subject and some minimum cgpa required too
