Remarks
Negative remarks are that they suppress students a lot and the management hierarchy is of many levels. The positive remark is that if someone is really interested they can learn whatever they want to learn not only theory but practicals also. The infrastructure is very good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is good with a lot of freedom to choose electives. Even an electrical student can learn other topics and do a major or minors in it. There will be 7 sets of exams for each subject in each semester. The lab and project are separate.
Placement Experience
The placements were good. I myself got placed in Intel. And mostly everyone will get a job somewhere or the other. You have an option to take a max of 3 placements depending on the tier of the Company. Dream, super dream, and mass
College Events
The college usually had workshops by different clubs every week. In fact, there will be some event going on every day. The major fest is 2. Gravitas is a tech-fest where people portray their technical skills and enhance them. The second one is riviera, a cultural fest where singers, dancers, and all fine arts are made and portrayed.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was simple at my time and it is decided based on the entrance exam rank and the branch opted. There is a scholarship for economically weak students and merit students. Now the fees have increased a lot as far as my juniors tell me.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college is tied up with Indian Bank for providing student loans. And apart from this, you can get a scholarship based on the rank you get in the exam. If you are from the economically weak section, you can apply for a scholarship.
Campus Life
The labs are equipped with a lot of good infrastructures and all the students have a compulsory extracurricular subject where he has to join a club and based on 1-year performance there he will be graded.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel was just above average. Can't rate it well. There will be biometric attendance and very strict In time for the students. We even have counselors for people who have issues coping up with the environment.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is good and maintained properly. The seniors were also very helpful. They usually conduct alumni meets in different places once a month. It happens even abroad where our chancellor addresses them and keeps in touch.
Admission
Got a merit seat on the basis of the entrance exam. Then we had a counseling session and I directly got admission into the EEE branch. The counseling happened offline in one of the 4 colleges of vit. The counseling usually happens in April or May.
Faculty
There are good faculty but mostly around 40% of faculty are highly skilled. They helped me with lab permissions and with my work and approaching companies for internships. But there are a few exceptions where the faculties are not worth studying under.
