Remarks

There are a lot of positive and negative remarks for the institute bit I would say that the main problem is the rigidness of authorities. Also there are some factors that divide the students such as zonism.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is great. It is a bit obsolete but holistic. It can be updated to match the current industry requirements. The examination is held on a semester basis. In each year there are two semesters and in each semester, there are two exams - midsems and endsems. Midsems is of 30 marks and endsems is of 50 marks for each subject. There is an additional teacher's assessment 20 marks which totals it up to 100 marks per subject per semester.

Placement Experience

4

The placement and job opportunities are quite good. A lot of reputed companies come and offer both internships and placements to the students of institute. I haven't been to any internship yet and the details of internship and stipend is confidential.

College Events

5

Innovision- The technological fest. It happens in 1st week of November and lot of students from other colleges visit. It is one of the biggest tech fest of eastern India. Cosmopolitan- Its is the multi-cultural fest in which students present the cultures of their respective zones. NITRUtsav- It is the spring fest and it is a literary fest. Vridhhi- sports fest ROOTS- Literary fest

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible. Bit for students belongings to poorer of backward castes of the society can avail scholarships and cutting in fee. Also the institute provides scholarships on the merit basis if the student is unable to pay the fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any kind of scholarships but yes there are many kinds of scholarships that are available on the basis of annual income and merit basis of the students. There are also some internal scholarships that are available on the merit basis.

Campus Life

4.5

All the facilities provide different kinds of equipment for different labs and are also very helpful in encouraging students for different games and sports. They also have a swimming pool, tennis court and other facilities.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel infrastructure is quite good and all the facilities are available to the students. The mess food is also nutritious and have a varied menu to satisfy the hunger of different sections of students.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the alumni network is quite helpful in both funds and other resources such as job opportunities to students, introducing new facilities in institute and also providing exposure to the students into the outer world.

Admission

There is a national level examination called Joint Engineering Examination. It is held in two stages. The admission to this place is based on the rank you get in the first stage. After getting the ranks, you fill in your college options and branch preferences in your order of preference and you get your desired college according to your rank.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is quite good and helping. They encourage students to take up more research projects and are also very understanding. There are some professors who are unnecessarily strict but they teach good too. So that's not a major problem.

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs
