GOOD COLLEGE FOR BCA
Positive- Good infrastructure, most of the faculty members are helpful. Supports and encourages Extra curricular activities, Grand events, clean and green campus. Negative- connectivity problem as we have to walk for some distance to reach the nearby bus stop, Expensive (fees).
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
Every year there is a increase in the fee structure. But once you join the college, your fees structure won't change. When I joined BCA at that time, my annual fees was ?75,000. You have ?3000 as exam fees in the middle of every semester.
Yes, our college provides placements and job opportunities. It is known for providing better job opportunities for the students. Talking about the internships, the college provides an opportunity to students through the AI clubs and all. They also provide an opportunity to the students where the students can come up with a solution for any social issues and the college fubds for that project if the student gets selected.
Direct Admission- After completing my 12th, I applied for Reva University for the BCA course through online. We can apply for the courses online from the college website. Once that was done, I along with my parents went to the college and submitted other documents and I was in.
Most of the senior students I know in the college are very helpful and many were from my same school so I know them well. There isn't actually any differences between the juniors and seniors. They all are friendly and peace exists between them.
My opinion on the faculty is mixed, we have many good teachers who are very much supportive. They also teach well but there are some teachers who aren't good in teaching. We mostly feel sleepy during their lectures.
The college promotes physical education and extracurricular activities along with studies. For every course, one semester we have RULO where one can choose any extracurricular activities of our choice and they'll teach us. The lab authority is helpful and also the sports faculty.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The course curriculum is okay according to me. First year of my BCA was easy coming to the second year I had minor issues with the courses but currently I am fine with it. The college provides soft skills training too which is very much useful for job interviews. Talking about the exam structure, the college has adopted tab based examinations, every semester we have 3 internal exams, each every 5th week. Then comes the lab exams and the theory externals.
All the students conducted by the college is done in a grand way. They invite public personalities to the college events. They also celebrate functions of different ethnic groups. They also host sports events every year.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
The college provides some percentage of price drop in fee for SC/ST Students. As I haven't availed any loan I don't know much about it. There isn't much scholarship offers by our college or maybe I haven't heard of any.
