Remarks

Postives about my college are good placements, extraordinary support to sports, good transportation and mess facilities. Negatives about my college are the number of internal tests and exams they conduct. Its like we have to write internal exams almost every day. Also the dress code in our college is quite strict when compared to other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is an average one where most topics and stuff get repeated on many subjects. There are a total of 8 semesters comprising of 45 subjects. Out of the 45 subjects around 8-10 can be regarded as tough papers. Also internal marks will play a major role in securing pass percentage in exams.

Placement Experience

4.5

No, our college doesn't provide any internship facilities. But the placements in our college are one of the best when compared to peers. Our college makes sure that around 80% students get placed. Even though all the placement offers don't come with good salary packages but still our college management makes sure that we all graduate with a job in our hand. But mostly 90% of the placement offers come from IT companies only.

College Events

4

Our college celebrates Christmas in a grand manner since it is a Christian instituition. Hostel students s have the time for their life during these celebrations. Alsp our college celebrates Hindu festivals like diwali and pongal very well. Also there is a celebration known as hostel day which spans for almost a week and is exclusively celebrated for hostel students. Other celebrations include onam which is famous festival in kerala, ramzan which is a Muslim festival and all other national holidays.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure varies form around 5.5 lakh rupees to 14 lakh rupees based on your stream and your mode of admission. If you join the college through government counselling like me you will need to pay 5.5 laks for the 4 years course or if you have secured less marks in higher secondary and join the college through management quota you need to pay hefty amount as donation especially for streams like mechanical and electrical. For people like me it's feasible when compared to peer colleges but for those who join through management quota its really expensive. Also hostel students need to pay and extra 2 lakh rupees as hostel fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I hav not availed any loan or scholarships but my friends who have joined the college through government counselling and are from lower castes have availed scholarships from our college. With that scholarship they used to get around 25000 rupees per year as scholarship money which is really a good thing. Our college doesn't helo with any loans. If you are seeking for an educational loan you have approach banks all by yourself.

Campus Life

4

Our college is very famous for sports. Majority of the tournaments conducted by the government and our University will be won by our college. Lab facilities in our college is also good. Costly machineries and softwares are also present in our college labs. Our college conducts various Symposiums and events in which people from other colleges can also participate. There is another Symposium which is conducted exclusively for our college students as well.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network in our college is very weak. There is no proper initiative to network alumni. Seniors are helpful only if you know them personally otherwise there is no proper means to communicate with them since there is no strong alumni network.

Admission

The government arranges counselling process for admissions into colleges based on the marks scored in higher secondary education. Based on my marks I got into this college. Also, in our country caste system plays a major role in deciding what college you can get. People form lower castes can get into good colleges even after securing average marks whereas people from higher castes need to work very hard and get top of the rank grades to even think about getting into a decent college.

Faculty

4

Our college has some really experienced and knowledgeable faculties but they are present in very less numbers only. Most of our faculties are those who graduated from our college itself. Also half the faculties are people with less than 5 years of teaching experience. But our college management will make sure that the faculties work very hard and do their job correctly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
