Remarks

A college with 25 years of producing quality of engineers.A college with lot experience in the field of engineering and technology, well planned curriculum in order to cope up with developing skills which are required to meet global standards, only problem is the lack of quality proffesors and research facility.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

We had a new curriculum called as choice based credit system, where we have a chance to choose the faculty for the courses we learned, exam are in semester based manner, a academic year is split into two semester 6 months each with exams scheduled at the end of each semester.

Placement Experience

4

Yes, there is separated department for placement and internship named career development and placement division(cdpd) which give training to every student from the second year of study and a special training for final year students in quantitative aptitude and programing and also bring companies to our campus for recruitment and internships, but most of the companies were software related if more core companies were bring to campus, many students have chance to be recruited and internships.

College Events

3.5

College has several events from various clubs in our college, swagatham is one of that event especially for first year(freshers) in welcoming the first year which consists of cultural and music events organised by fine arts club, "Elatio" is the big event of the college for second, third and final years which is the event to showcase talents of students in music and dance organised by fine arts club, besides every department organises a national level technical symposium and seminars, At the month of March there will be annual day in commemoration of the founding month of college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is different for students admitted in government quota and private quota, it is feasible to pay for the students in government quota, but it was quite high for the students in private quota.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes college is facilitating us to get the community scholarship from the government of Tamilnadu and college itself has many scholarships like Alumni scholarships for the students from poverty and performs good at academics and students who tops the class were rewarded with cash of rupees 1000 at the end of each academic year.

Campus Life

3

College has several clubs like, Fine arts club for music and dance, Phorartz club for photography and arts, Tamil mandram for the development of Tamil language, English literary club for the development of good communication skills in English for students, Quiz club for students interested in quizzing, NSS for the students in social activities and NCC for the people interested in armed forces and well equipped sports centre and ground for showcasing the talents of students in sports.

Alumni/Alumna

My college has very good network with our Alumni and organises periodic alumni meet and students-Alumni interaction meet. All was organised by a separate body called alumni cell.In commemoration of silver jubilee celebrations our college organised a grand two days global alumni meet in our campus, on which alumni across the globe were participated.

Admission

I got admission through Anna University counselling, through which I got admission by a allocated MBC community seat in B. E Biomedical Engineering, Admission is through government quota. For admission through counselling my higher secondary cutoff mark is considered, I had cut off of 187.5 out of 200.

Faculty

3.5

Faculties were kind and have a good communication to the students and each department has minimum of 2 to 3 doctorates, regarding teaching there were less number of a quality person(person with more experience), if more experienced people recruited, quality and quantity of research will get increased.

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
