Our college is a very good place to study applied sciences as we have an environment where we are free to do any kind of experiments and researches with the help of our faculty members. Along with this our college is a anti ragging campus where everyone is safe to study.
My course is a honours course therefore it requires deep studies. Moreover the division of subjects by Delhi University and offering generic elective subjects plays and important part in the curriculum as we get to study what we like to .
Yes, internships are provided but totally depends on the department. Apart from this, as I am in 2 yr right now, we didn't get such an opportunity to know about stipends and other detailed information.
Our college celebrates various events and fest including annual departmental fests where we arrange games and other fun activities related to our courses. Other than this we have our annual cultural fest "KARVAAN" where celebrities come for their performance and we all have a lot of fun. Moreover various other activities and events are conducted by different departments for their own students.
Fee structure is highly feasible as 10-15 thousand per year is not that high amount that one cannot afford. Apart from this annual examination fees of 2000-2500 rupees is paid . Otherwise there is no other expense.
There are various scholarships one can apply through Delhi University sites and other government funded options for students with low income status. There are many state funded scholarships as well for which students from respective states can apply.
As far sports is concerned, our college offers various games like kho kho , volleyball, badminton, athletics etc. Stltudents get an opportunity to play at various levels. Labs in our college are spacious, clean and have ample amount of reagents and other tools and devices required.
Infrastructure of our college is highly appealing. Well painted and designed walls, amphitheatre, spacious auditorium, big lecture halls everything combines to form a very eco friendly and student friendly campus. Hostel facilities are good as well but our college only offer hostel to first year students.
Senior students are very interactive and helpful. They also try to maintain a fun environment by conducting various events and small get togethers so that we feel comfortable with our department. Moreover in academics perspective too, they are highly generous towards helping us with any kind of issue.
Exam structure is well segregated. In one year we have 2 semester and at the end of every semester exams are conducted as per the regulations of Delhi University. Apart from exams various assignment and tests are conducted within the semester .
I got admission in this college on the basis of merit lists. As Delhi University admission are based on cut off lists, I got admission in the third list in this college. Admission process includes document verification, then course requirements are verified. 2-3 forms were filled including college form, anti ragging and undertaking forms. After that fees was paid through an online portal.
Faculty of my college is highly expertise and have a deeper understanding of the subjects taught therefore providing best knowledge to the students. Moreover the teachers and non teaching staff are so friendly with us students that we feel comfortable enough to share our problems with them.
The placements are good but not for every program like they do offer to sit in the placements for every course students but the companies which come for recruitment are mainly looking for students from commerce background. I am not saying that people from other courses do not get placed at all but if you're from a commerce background there is a high chance for you to get placed.
I have heard that the placement opportunities are great here and the candidates are offered 6 digit salaries in the first year of being a graduate itself. Placement opportunities are given to the students in their final year and after a round of selection and interviews, the deserving candidates are selected.
The college as per my view has no placement cell. They dont offer any internships or training facilities neither any industrial visits for the Food Technology students. My plan after attending this college is to do MSc in Food Technology from any other college or renowned university.
The college has a placement cell of their own and works very hard every year to place the students who want to get their jobs or internships. Every year 2 internship and job fairs are conducted in the college which helps students get their desired profile internship and jobs. Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Campus vibes, NGO's visit
The placement cell of the college is very much active. The placement package is quite good. But it depends much on the qualification of the candidate that how's s/he has performed. Otherwise, college placement is all good as the reputation enjoyed by the college is attentive. Many alma matters are very much famous, which make internship companies and placement companies fall for Hansraj college. So in literal terms, college placement is no less than others. ( As per many seniors, the average package goes like 3-4 lakh per annum to 7 -9 lakhs per annum). It may rise high, depending on the qualification of student and level of the company.
LSR has an active Placement Cell, the highlight of the college. It brings internship opportunities and job offers for its students. It is headed by 5 coordinators, 2 sub-coordinators, a Research & Training Head and a Treasurer, who are supported by 31 department representatives, 25 members and 11 core team members. LSR brings in internship opportunities for the first, second and third-year students including summer internship programs for the second and third years. Bank of America, HUL, Puma and Citibank have recruited interns. In the academic year 2019-20, 100 companies visited the campus to offer jobs to students of which 110 were recruited. Industry giants like McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, LEK Consulting, Accenture, Gartner, FTI Consulting, Citibank and EY Parthenon were invited. Despite the economic slump due to COVID-19, the highest package offered was INR 30 LPA and the average package was INR 9.4 LPA.
The placement of the college is very good from the 2nd semester you become eligible for campus placement. There are 20-30 companies who visited for the interview and the lowest package is 5-6 lakhs and the maximum package is 25-30 lakhs. There are 80% of the students got their placement in their college time and earn many more from that. I want to go for civil services after my graduation.
From 1st year you become eligible for an internship. The placement cell of KMC is very well known and also provide regular updates of internships available.
It is the only College in Delhi University which provide physical and health education. Only UGC recognised College to provide bsc in physical education. It is affordable for all types of students as it's a govt College and tuition fee is not too much.
At that time I was facing some health issues as this college is nearer to me comparatively to other so I opted for it. Also the college is surrounded by lots of plants and trees so you feel absolutely fresh all the time. Brings positivity.
