There are many good facilities that the university provides to the students, the most amazing thing about the institute is the FULLY FLEXIBLE CREDITS SYSTEM (FFCS). the only thing that institutes should improve is faculties, they have very low experience in research.
Course Curriculum Overview
The ffcs system is used in this university where a student can study their interesting courses. EXAM STRUCTURE-- there are 3 exams per semester. The first two are 50 marks exam and last is 100 marks exam. where the second exam called CAT 2 is an opened notebook exam. students can bring their notes to the exam. There are 60 percent theory weightage and 40 percent lab weightage.
Placement Experience
Vellore institute of technology is well known for its placement, the average placement of the institute is 600000, the institute is well known for Computer science and IT placements. And also the institute provides internships to the students of each branch which is compulsory.
College Events
There are lots of events and college festivals celebrated in VIT. almost all the 365 days, there are always 2 or 3 events every day. And there are 2 college festivals called GRAVITAS and RIVIERA.from which, RIVIERA is one of the top 5 college festivals of India, it is 4 days college festival.
Fee Structure And Facilities
There are different phases in which students are divided according to their viteee rank if you are in phase 1, the annual fees of the B.tech course will. Be. 198000(academics) if you are in phase 2, the fees will increase by 100000 which will bee 298000
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarships that are provided by our institute according to viteee rank and also according to student's families annual income. If the viteee rank is less then 100 then the student will get a 75 percent scholarship and if the rank is under 100 to 1000 than the scholarship will be 50 percent
Campus Life
Institute provides very good facilities of extracurricular and labs, there are several sports grounds like football, cricket ground tennis court, volleyball court, basketball court, swimming pool, indoor and outdoor gym. the institute also provides almost all types of labs.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of the institute is one of the most important of the institute, the institute has a very powerful alumni network. the institute has collaborated with many foreign universities which is very useful for the researchers and scholars, the seniors are also very helpful.
Admission
I have given an online-based entrance exam called viteee, the rank list was then declared and I was selected so I had attended counseling and confirmed my seat. At the time of counseling, they will call students which course they are interested in and provided that course according to their rank if there are any seats available.
Faculty
There are more than 250 faculties on the Vellore campus which may vary according to campus however some of the faculties are very experienced and researchers, however, most of the faculties have very little knowledge and they are not professionals, they just speak the theory and don't even tech.
