Remarks

College management was not that good as it is govt college, getting a document signed is a very big task otherwise everything is very good i learnt many things in college had very good experience, got placement also i miss my college.

Entrance Preview

AIEEE B.Tech in ECE as ECE branch was good at that time but now CSE is rocking so if you get a chance to chose between CSE and any other branch chose CSE.

Internships Opportunities

At my time in college, companies were not visiting the colleges for internships, but now Amazon and many big companies are taking students for internships and placements i had my internship in BSNL which was self paid 4800 rs for 6 weeks.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements of the college is very good amazon, samsung, EXL, Virtusa, Polaris, Nucleus Software, Oracle finance and many other big comanies like TCS, IBM, L&T etc also takes students at diff packages amazon had given 16lpa, virtusa at 5.5lpa, drishtisoft at 16lpa, snapdeal at 14lpa.

College Events

3.5

Technical fest named Tech Niti is celebrated in which many colleges participate for diff events like robotics and other events singers, DJs are also there. Cultural fest named UTKANSH is celebrated once a year has many events like fashion shows and many fashion designing colleges and other colleges also participate sponsorship from big companies are there like Jabong, PayTm and many others.

Fee Structure And Facilities

During my time fees was affordable and feasible than many other colleges it was 25000 in a semester and mess fees was 15000 in a semester so overall it was good and feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I have no idea about this but there are students of backward classes who avail scholarships they dont need to pay the tuition fees.

Campus Life

There are many societies for different activities like SOECE for ECE, ROBOTICS club, Literary and Debate society(LADS)and campus life is good campus is big you can roam freely till 12:00 in midnight sports events are also there.

Hostel Facilities

There are 12 boys hostel and 6 girls hostel rooms were on sharing basis for first two years then it was single and food, cleanliness overall was fine.you cant expect more than that in a mess of college hostel.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors were good in communication, helped in projects and interview experiences and many stuffs they gave many company's contacts at the time of our placements.

Exam Structure

There are lots of exams during minors, 2 exams in a single day leaves us exhausted, but its good that they end in 3 days and Majors are 1 exam in a day with no gap between 2 exams.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is good but not all as there are lots of adhocs who dont have much knowledge and experience but experienced professors are good. They have Computer science subject for all branch in atleast one semester which helps at the time of IT company visit

My Experince at Chandigarh University: Campus Life, Learning and Growth

Likes

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

Likes

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
