Remarks

I've already mentioned every aspects. I don't think there is much negative points. I had already mentioned it's having a very small area as an university campus. But now the university campus is expanding in another location.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

As an university i think the area of the campus is small as compared to other universities. So the courses offered here are bit of limited i will say. There is semester based exam system which happens in every 6 months.

Placement Experience

4

Yes placements and job opportunities are there. I don't have a lot of experience about it. But i know there is an active placement cell. Yes internship is offerd by each department to university students and also outsider students. It's pretty good.

College Events

4.5

Foundation day, annual sports, football and cricket league conducted by university authority.(I've got chance to be part of 200th years celebration of my university. Fresher's day conducted by students union and also by each department individually where senior students/professors introduced themselves to their juniors/students and vice versa. Teacher's day celbrated in each department individually. Farewell ceremony for professors, students conducted by each department. Student fest in every year conducted by student union. ISPAT(A cultural programme) conducted by students union.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In every semester there is fee around 2000-3000 depending on which department you are. No extra fees during whole semester. And the fee is payable in end of the semester during exam procedure. I think fee is not expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't get any scholarship/loan facility offered by my university. And i don't even know about any scholarship/loan facility offered by university authority. I think there maybe some kind of scholarship/loan facilities for economically weak students. But it's not in my knowledge.

Campus Life

4.5

I don't particularly participate in extracurricular activities, but i know many of the students participate in extracurricular activities. Labs are well equipped, maintained. Every year annual sports day, cricket, football league celebrated by university authority. There is also basketball, badminton, table tennis facility.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are helpful. The ragging is common in almost every college which is concerned for every parents. But there is no issue of that in this college. They will comfort you from the first day. I don't know much about alumni network.

Admission

I've given entrance test conducted by university authority. Result published after few days. Then counselling done based on published merit list. Then admission based on that counselling in university campus.

Faculty

5

The faculty of each department is skilled, experienced. They are student friendly, helpfull to students. They will be always there to solve your queries if you've a good approach. They will comfort you in the class.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
