Remarks

Every day when we enter the campus of our college, it puts a smile on our faces, we feel proud being the student of this college. Everyday we get to learn new things. The class schedule is not too hectic like other colleges. There are no negative points about our college and I'm proud to say that.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The Information Science and Engineering is a sub-branch of Computer science and engineering, The subjects are technical and you study about everything technical , the college also provides elective subjects with a wide range to choose from. Talking about exams ,since our college is affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University, the exams are conducted by the VTU board. The exams are conducted in a strict manner , and you get plenty of gaps between the subjects. Most of the VTU exams are challenging.

Placement Experience

4

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college , since we are pre-final year students. We have seen our seniors get placed to very good company and a healthy package job. The students are trained for the aptitude test every week. And sessions on how to clear interview are also done, the college provide us internship through the tie-up with job portals.

College Events

4.5

Our college, that is Vidyavardhaka college of engineering is famous for it's events in Mysore. Our college celebrates each and every event like it's some festival. Our college conducts workshop every week, which is supported by the management of our college , the famous festival "Vidyuth" is celebrated here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure of the college is feasible and not too expensive, the general merit fees costs you somewhere around 75,000. Which is to be paid every year. The college also provides the management quota seats which are expensive to some extent.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers scholarship for minority students, through which almost 70% of the college fees is taken care by the college, the college also provides the support to apply for scholarship schemes made by the government.

Campus Life

4.5

The extracurricular activities are Highly appreciated in this college (Vidyavardhaka college of engineering), importance is given to sports as well, me being in the college cricket team, the support for sports are good, last week i missed a internal due to cricket match, but the management was kind enough to give the retest for the participants of the team.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors are very beloved, they help us by guiding in every way possible, they suggest which elective to take and what to do and what not to do in college, the alumni network is good in our college as it is managed by the college and gathering is done. In which we get to see the passed out students who are well settled in life and they speak very high of the college.

Admission

I got admission to this college, that is Vidyavardhaka college of engineering through the Diploma Common Entrance Test, The admission procedure was not much stressful, it went smoothly as the college administration helped the students in guiding in every possible way.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of our college are highly supportive in every way possible, they teach the concepts very well, they also use technology to make us understand the concepts very easily , module tests are given after the completion of every module and the faculty members and students relationship is always healthy here, the faculty members are always available for any assistance , a whatsapp group is created in which the faculty members and students are present, the faculty sometimes circulate notes there and we also ask doubts about the subjects there too. The faculty members are soo keen to help you there too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
