VJTI, B.Tech, Textile Engineering
Reviewed on Mar 1, 2020

Remarks

The VJTI is affiliated with the Mumbai University. It awards degrees and diplomas under the name of Mumbai University only.It acts as the Central Technical Institute of Maharashtra. It is AICTE recognised institution. Ranking It is ranked as one of the 20 best engineering colleges of India by the India Today magazine.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

It was bad for some of the branch like textile because curriculum does not fulfill the actual demand of industry. Exam structure of VJTI is very student friendly. It gives fair chance for every exam and back lock as well.

Placement Experience

4

Placement wise VJTI is better than any other state level college. I got Internship in BTRA which is textile research centre where I learn so many things about textile field this Institute has excellence in technical textile which is my fav subject. Talking about my stipend their was no stipend where given by Institute.

College Events

5

College event is best thing that any one can experienced. In my college there are mainly 3 major event happens. 1 culture 2.technical 3.sports Cultural fest called pratibimb, technical fest call technovanza, and sports event call enthusia. Apart from this branch level fest are also their like VASTRA.fashion show etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being government college VJTI has very less fees as compared to other major engineering college. Mtech fees is also very less. The fees for btech students is around 70k for one year and every year it decreases.

Fees and Financial Aid

I was selected for a scholarship in which I get consession on my college fees ,hostel fees, mess fees and 10k extra for books and survival. I think this is best scholarship that any student can get. Bank also give loan easily for VJTI students.

Campus Life

1.5

Students get all sorts of facilities at the college campus to get a better learning experience. There are libraries, hostels, internet, canteens, laboratories, and research centres and sports clubs in the college campus. Library – The Libraries are getting upgraded with the World Bank funds for TEQUIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme). Laboratories – The laboratories are sponsored by various companies to provide practical learning experience to students.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes offcorse alumni network and senior are very helpful. First it majorly help for getting sponsorship for fest. And it also helpful for placement contacts for students. Seniors are also very supportive p their were no ragging took placed in VJTI

Admission

Students can get admission in the VJTI B. Tech courses by qualifying the MHT- CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test). For M. Tech courses also a Centralised Admission Procedure is followed. For example – To get admission in the MCA course, a student is required to appear in the MAH – CET – MCA exam. For Ph. D courses, the VJTI conducts written exams.

Faculty

3.5

I heard about other branch faculty that some are very good and some are very bad also. Some faculty have very strong knowledge for what they are teaching. There are some faculty who do on job PHD study. There are also some hardworking faculty who work hard for success of students

Focusing on student's attendence rather than focusing on students concepts. College is not focusing in development of students only paperwork is done. No conceptul teaching nor practical. By doing this stuff we can get a btech degree but not the knowledge a btech student should have.
