Remarks

We have octagon which was the first established LAN in Asia. NITT is the best NIT in India and has a strong alumni base The campus is huge 800 acres which is a is plus point Faculties are plenty and have good knowledge

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is superb with 8 semesters and each semester having flexible exam structure depending on the Professor. The exams are not so frequent and the course has enough focus on research. There is a compulsory End Sem exam each semester.

Placement Experience

Yes, my College provides internship but I am not eligible for it as I am a first year student. Also, the placements are incredibly high with the highest package grossing over a crore. Many companies come for placements sometimes above 400.

College Events

Technical - Pragyan Cultural - NITTFEST, FESTEMBER, AAVEG Sports - Sportsfete Pragyan is in the month of March. NITTFEST is in the month of March. Festember is in the month of September Aaveg is for first years Sportsfete is in month of October

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is feasible with high grants coming from the central government as this is an Institution of National Importance. We have to pay approx. 8 lacs for 4 years including hostel fees and those with family income less than 1 lac get full waiver.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many loans like that of SBI. Scholarship facilities is for bright students and the students with no means get full waiver in tuition fees and also some governments give them monthly stipend

Campus Life

Labs are top class and there are approx half a century clubs in NITT for extracurriculars. We get ample time for relaxing as the workload is not that heavy for first year peeps due to the flexible curriculum.

Alumni/Alumna

In our Institute, the seniors are very helping and there is negligible ragging. The alumni base is strongest and all the alumni have been tracked down. They have even funded our College to support quality research and development. Our Alumni are very famous and are CEOs and founders of world class MNCs. They regularly visit us and we interact with them.

Admission

I got admission through JEE Main exam which is conducted by NTA. JOSAA counseling takes place and seats are allocated. I had an aptitude for Chemical Engineering since childhood and so chose this course.

Faculty

The faculty is qualified and they promote excellent research. Most of the senior faculties are too innovative and focused on research and show interest while teaching. They have an excellent teaching style.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

The entrance exam for MCA NITT is NIMCET . i got AIR 7 in NIMCET 2022 . There are 45 general seats for MCA and also there are category based reservation . NIT Trichy is the best choice

This college has a good Placements record. In 2020, NIRF ranking for the institution is 9. It has good faculty to student ratio and Research Facilities are also very good.
