Remarks

The college management are very friendly and helpful, but make you run around a lot when it comes to collecting money back from them :p.which is usual in every college. The college has a beautiful campus and a coffee day too. It is also the TOEFL centre i

Entrance Preview

Write CET or Comed-k or get into through a management seat. A decent score in 12th and CET will ensure a seat here. Only students who want a management seat are required to pay a donation of around 4-6lakhs apart from fees

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is same for all in the 1st year. 2 nd year is similar to mechanical engineering.3rd year is when you are introduced to aeronautics and has a touch of mechanical subjects.4th year has pure aeronautical engineering. The electives vary as per teacher availability and students interest. Electives offered are- CFD,Industrial experimental aerodynamics, helicopter dynamics, composite materials, etc

Internships Opportunities

Currently we have not had any aeronautical based companies coming for campus recruitment. Hopefully in the future. Internships can be done at HAL,no stipend.

Placement Experience

1.5

The placements offered are usually by Infosys or capgemini or L&T infotech. All software based companies. Infosys offers a package of 2.6lakhs p.a. Other companies that visit us are Musigma, Cognizant, tech mahindra, hashed in. The pay package varies from company to company last year 5students got placed .this year around 10 student got placed in different companies.

College Events

4

A lot of activities occur every month and every department organises events every month. Our college has the biggest fest in south India called Acharya Habba during the month of March. We pull a crowd of 20-25,000 people for the fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is expensive for management students. Write Comed-k or CET and get a cheaper fee structure. 4-6lakhs donation for management seat. The fee structure is feasible for CET students and is roughly 60,000. For Comed-k and management students. Its around 1,80,000

Fees and Financial Aid

The college doesn't offer any scholarships. They do put up notices of any scholarship exams or any government funded ones. Loans can be availed from banks with college assistance.

Campus Life

3

We have a good gender ratio. Plan your own hostel parties,in and out of campus;). The college does encourage students to participate in workshops all over India and keeps students updated of available opportunities. The college has a lot of African and middle East students and from many other countries as well. We are a very tolerant and welcoming college. Sports is given high importantace and encouraged.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel food is pathetic after the first month. This is the general experience of many students. But you make a lot of friends and hostel is fun. Stay in the hostel during the first year. Shift out the next year to nearby pg or rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni meet happens during March every year. The network is not very strong though. It is completely upto the juniors to stay In touch with their seniors and seek help and advice. Be friendly and bond well.

Exam Structure

The exams structure is chilled out and gives you enough time to prepare are study Its engineering :p

Faculty

3.5

The faculty have a minimum qualification of M.tech and are very helpful and friendly. Except for one Mr Banakar who is a lab assistant. Else it is smooth sailing in the department!

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
