Competing with top IITs

Getting an admission in this college is one of the best things in my life, i could start exploring myself. There are a lot of clubs in this campus to learn many other projects development methods. Clubs are very well organized and well funded. Institute branding is also very well taken up.

Here we have a Flexible Curriculum which is very helpful for the students to not get stress as the curriculum can be changed by students themselves. There is a lot of research being done in our college. There are many incubation centers in the campus which also includes SIEMENS COE and ISRO incubation Center. Even Tata has signed up an MOU recently for carrying on research in the campus.

Placements here are excellent compared to many other NITs and Least IITs, obviously far far better than the local colleges out there. Top companies like Oracle, Microsoft, Tata, L&T, Sujuki, Intel, Fidelity, St. Gobains, Boeing are some of the top companies that visited our campus this year.

Our college has one of the best fests in South India, Festember, Cultural fest is one of the best in South India. People from various colleges visit our campus during fest and celebrities fr cine, music and sports industries are called for fests. Top DJs perform here in our campus. Pragyan, Technical fest in the 2nd ISO organised after London Olympics, it's filled with workshops, events expo and entertainment where people from many colleges come and participate. We also have many interhostel and club fests through out the year. It's really fun to study in this college.

Fees is feasible. General fee for tution is around 70,000 per semester And mess costs around 37,000 per semester. However student's having family income of less than 1 lakh get full tution fees wavier. And students having family income less than 5 lakhs get 2/3rd fees wavier. SC/ST student have fee wavier also.

Campus has an SBI branch which offers students, educational loans which is utilized by many students. There are many scholarships offered for our college students. Many criteria are considered for giving the scholarships. Which includes caste, grade, family status etc

We have good lab facilities, we have a lab named SCIENT lab which is open 24*7 for students, this lab helps students to do their personal projects and provides resources for free. If the projects being done looks promising the alumni also would be funding for the project. There are 4 main grounds in campus and is open for many sports, There is a well functioning gym which is said to be renewed soon as well. We have a sportsfest which includes many sports some which I've seen in campus for the first time.

Hostels are not the best but are good. First years have to share room with 3 people while from second year doom has to be shared by 2 people. Incase you need a single room, a special letter has to be applied stating a genuine reason.

This Institute has a very good Alumni relationship, the alumni fund the campus for many projects to be done by the students, there are frequent Alumni meet ups to maintain the bond. There's a new section in our adminstration which works very hard to keep the Alumni in contact. Seniors are very helpful in the campus, they might trouble you a little in the first year but with be the best family after some time. Seniors help us with academics, interns, referrals and continuous support for career.

I got admission through my JEE rank. JEE is Joint Entrance Examination which is for getting admissions in all Central Government Colleges for graduation. How ever the admission/ test process from 2020 has been changed

Faculty here are excellent and talented how ever some of them are very strict. The faculty here go beyond their specialisation which is really helpful for students to understand beyond the subject. Faculty also work on a lot of consultancy and projects where they involve stundent and help us learn practically.
