Remarks

Positive: the infrastructure is great. We have great labs and numerous opportunities to improve ourselves. Hostel life and messes are terrific compared to other colleges. Negative: Unqualified faculty and poor implementation of subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is nice. They offer subjects like ML, Algorithms for Biomedical Data Analysis, Computer Vision, etc. However, the implementation of these courses is terrible. The faculty is not knowledgeable so they can't really teach the subject. The midsem and endsem are of 20% and 40% weightage respectively. The other 40% is internals which may include project, quizzes, assignments etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college will surely provide you with an internship after your second year. The internships provided by the college are hardly ever paid. A lot of companies come for placements and they also pick up decent amount of students. The placement scenario is decent for our college.

College Events

3.5

67th Milestone is the annual techno-cultural fest of our college. The college organizes a lot of events during this 3 day fest. Other than that, we have minor events throughout the year organized by different clubs in the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is really expensive given that you don't have scholarship. For our batch, the annual mess and laundry charges are 60k which is acceptable considering the quality of messes. The hostels are nice too but definitely not worth 70k for a triple occupancy room. The tuition fee however is 9. 5 lakhs for four years which is way too much in my opinion.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is merit based scholarship in our college. They give you scholarship based on your JEE rank or 12th boards percentage. I had 13k rank in JEE Advance so I have received 100% scholarship on both accomodations and tuition fees.

Campus Life

4.5

There are good labs including one clean room. The clean room has some of the best machines in the country. Only a handful of colleges have a clean room in India. We also have an HPC in our college. The gender ratio in CS is around 1:8 i. e 1 girl for 8 boys which is terrible. Other than that we have numerous clubs that organize various events and activities throughout the year.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes, the hostels are nice. We have ACs too. The bathrooms are generally clean. Only a few people indulge in activities like drinking, drugs, gambling etc. compared to other colleges. The wardens are nice too.

Alumni/Alumna

Not yet. Our college was founded in 2014 so the alumni network is pretty weak but it will improve over the years. We have also set up an Alumni Board for that purpose. Some of the alumni have joined the board and help from time to time.

Admission

I was actually looking for a college that'd give me scholarship. I came across BMU on quora. They claimed that they'd give me 100% scholarship based on my JEE Advance rank. So I filled their form, gave an interview and was selected. The interview was very easy. The interviewer asked me questions based on my 12th syllabus. I was not able to answer some of the questions but that didn't seem to matter to him. Later I got to know that they just accept everyone.

Faculty

2

Most of the faculty in CS department is not even PhD now. All the senior faculties have left the college. Dr. Sudip Sanyal and Dr. Rantna Sanyal have also left the college. They used to be one of the selling points for our college. Now, there's a handful of them left.

Course Curriculum Overview:

teaching aspect, exam conduction is fine. except they can give more break (1 or 2 day) between exams, rest all is good. The exams are not that difficult. The level i would say on a scale of 1 to 10, is around 6.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I thought I would have a wide range of options to choose from later. This curriculum prepares us moderately I will say. Academically subjects are what we need, but I feel semesters are too short to complete everything. while semester we are like rushing first minor then within a month we have majors. it feels too overwhelming as we have to do subjects like cs gp too. which take a lot of time. then assignments. then lab workbooks are to be completed then we have to complete the syllabus and then minor and after a month only we have majors it is very hectic.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is successfully combined with theoretical learning and practical applications, enabling students to face both professional lives and higher studies. The majority of students enjoy its applicability. The fee is affordable, with B.Tech priced around ?92,500 per annum. Merit-based scholarships (12th-grade marks, CUET, or JEE Main) give financial assistance with up to a 100% concession for good performers. Few details are available regarding fee differentials for different categories (SC, ST, Management). Examinations are held on a regular basis, such as sessionals and end-of-semester exams. Improvement areas include more effective time management in the tests and more concentration on extracurricular activities.

Placement Experience:

You become eligible for placements from the 7th sem itself. The companies which some here are mostly unknown companies, except Flipkart, Airtel, Jindal and Reliance. The placement scenario is as follows: CS/IT : Very good placements, avg 4+, highest(from 2023) was 12LPA on campus. Printing/PKG/Food Tech : 100% Placement, in 2024, 10 students got placed with a package of 9.5 LPA. Core branches(Except ECE) : Decent placement, you have to be top employable in your batch to be placed. ECE : Not allowed to sit in software companies, no electronic company comes, worst placement, No need to talk about the package or percentages. You can just be placed in a sales role.
