Remarks

College is extremely good for CS IT and equally worse for other branches.

Entrance Preview

VIT entrance exam secured 2023 rank but due to some scam, they gave me 2500+ rank so as give me VIT CHENNAI rather than VIT VELLORE. That was the first that demoralized me. I opted for this particular college as it 2nd the best private institution after BITS.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I would rather not comment but related to my UG college, it was way better.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, they provide barely like out of 64 students only 10 including campus internship placement (15k), rest is arranged by students themselves.

Placement Experience

1

Out of 64 still, no one got placed in a core company. But many like 25+ are placed in IT company like Wipro TCS CTS Accenture. So if you are opting for a branch other than CS IT, it actually doesn't make any sense because later chances of getting placed in a core company are bleak.

College Events

2.5

This college is really poor in that, I mean that my UG college (galgotias) used to organize hugely, I mean huge events, SANTANA(GOD OF GUITAR) performed in my college. They only do it as a formality so-called Gravitas. Sports events, Vit Chennai has very limited sports facilities, unlike vit Vellore.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's OK 3lakh per M.tech course excluding hostel charges. It was feasible for me but again it depends upon person to person how much he is willing to spend on the course. Hostel fees Are like 1.3lakh per annum not sure about it though varies according to the rooms.

Fees and Financial Aid

No idea as I had never applied for a loan but my friends did apply for it directly from their respective banks.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is fair. The gender ratio is 5:1 male and female respectively. Labs are still under process but are fair enough. Extracurricular sports activities are good but then still, you need a court to practice which VIT Chennai fails to provide unlike VIT VELLORE as VIT CHENNAI is still in a premature stage.

Alumni/Alumna

Had a word with seniors who got 9 pointers and were brilliant enough to get a decent job, but still, they got no opportunities.

Faculty

3

Few faculty are extraordinary can't name them here. Few were not up to the mark. But the overall experience was way better than my UG college. Also here faculties make you work like a mad dog which is actually good for the orientation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
