Remarks

It's a good place if you know how to handle yourself and not dabble in anything stupid. But of course, there are tons of stupid avenues to explore and easily enticing. There are loads of opportunities to do both really well and really bad.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course structure is awkward where most of the things you are tested on are useless and the things that actually are useful, or what I have used for projects and other things in actual life have been completely ignored. It's bordering on barely sufficient. The schedule for exams is fairly relaxed and there is not much clutter if one knows how to choose slots.

Placement Experience

5

College does not provide an internship. The placements are amazing in the sense that they have such a large number of companies coming through that, there is no way someone sitting for placements does not get selected in at least one company. There are loads of amazing companies and even more average companies.

College Events

4.5

There are many events. Sometimes there are over 20 events hosted by different clubs and chapters running in the same week. So there is no lack of activity on the campus. The cultural fest is huge and a waste of money. They charge too much. The tech fest is a scam as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive, but not beyond reason by much. There are categories for fees depending on what the rank obtained is. So lower categories are actually very good. Anything above category 3 is just unfair. They charge way too much for category 4&5

Fees and Financial Aid

The star student program is a free education program for talented students from underprivileged families. They provide free education, hostel stay, mess food, and any other expenses. Alongside this, they get a stipend and laptop as well. The only downside is there are only 40 students chosen in a batch of roughly 5000 which is a really low number.

Campus Life

4

The lab facilities are really good if you know which labs are actually useful. The labs commonly used to teach students are average at best. But if one is interested then they can visit the better labs and actually make use of all the really good and working facilities.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are many hostels and it is allotted based on CGPA, so the smarter you are, the better the chances of you getting a good room or an AC room. It is slightly expensive when it comes to food and the AC rooms are very expensive. They keep increasing the price. The stay outside is cheaper if one is okay with compromising on food.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful. Everyone who comes in is clear about the no ragging policy so ragging is not fear at all. There are many helpful seniors and they understand your situation and offer aid in any way they can.

Admission

An entrance exam, VITEEE. A rank of 100, 000 or less can apply for the studentship. Chose ECE because it is comparatively more interesting than the other courses in the offer and my interests lay towards physics and thus closely relate.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty who teach first and second year students are barely qualified in terms of ability to convey knowledge. Some of them get promoted and end up teaching 3rd and 4th year students so it's bad sometimes. But for the most part, the faculty who take 3 and 4th year subjects are very good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
