Remarks
VIT overall is an excellent place to GROW. The environment here is very healthy. There are top-quality students in every batch. The faculties help their students in every possible way. Safety is the utmost priority of VIT and it has many rules to keep its children safe which might look like a burden sometimes. But believe me, it is very necessary.
Course Curriculum Overview
We have to complete 180 credits at the end of our 4th year. The most unique thing about VIT is that it follows the FFCS system. That is the fully flexible credit system. According to this, we can choose what subjects we want to study in that particular semester and we can also select the session we want to attend i. e morning or evening. And we also have the pleasure of selecting our own teacher. Therefore it is upon us whether we want to make our semester hectic or not.
Placement Experience
The job opportunities are way too high for students of CSE, IT, ECE, etc. The placement package is somewhat low for the mechanical and civil branches. The companies that come here are. Mahindra, standard chartered, oracle, ninja art, etc.
College Events
The main events of our college are Gravitas and Riviera. Gravitas is a technical event and there are almost 600 events where we get to learn something about the various things taught by chapters and clubs. Riviera is the annual fest that happens in VIT and it is one of the biggest fests of India and it happens for 4 consecutive days. Every day more than 1 or 2 celebrities come to perform here like ayushman Khurana and Sonu Nigam and many more.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides scholarships to certain students who score good marks in the scholarship exam. It conducts many scholarship tests which give offers like it allows the student to study the further course abroad.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are also good here. There are many clubs and chapters here like a dance club, music club, drama club, film society, etc. There are many chapters like IEEE, ASME, Ojas, pravega racing team. There are many facilities for sports also. Like there are almost 5- 6 cricket grounds. Swimming pool. Badminton court in every hostel. Basketball court etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels here are the best you can get. The blocks are cleaned daily. And that too morning and evening. The sanitation facilities are excellent and the hygiene maintained is above excellent. There are many types of room i. e 1 bed, 2 bed, 3 bed, 4 bed, 6 bed. And it is either AC or non AC.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior always supports and helps and guide us whenever needed. VIT follows the anti-ragging program very seriously. There there is no ragging. The seniors will help you with everything like ffcs and room counseling. They will tell you where you can go to eat, to visit, etc. They can tell you what chapters or clubs you should join for your benefit.
Admission
Firstly we were required to give the entrance exam. Then the ranks came out. The dates were given out by the university as to which day we have to attend the counseling for admission. Then there we were given the choice to select the course we want to study based on our ranks. And then after that admission was done. And we were asked to proceed with the payment.
Faculty
The faculties are great here. However, some of the faculties might not be up to the mark in comparison to some of the faculties. But overall the knowledge they have is good here. Again, we have the pleasure of selecting our own faculty here so that is not a big issue.
