Remarks

I'm glad the college has become autonomous now, but I'm not sure what effect or toll is taking on the students. I have a friend studying there even after I left and he's not entirely happy to say the least.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The State curriculum is lethargic, to say the least. The syllabus is outdated, teaching methods are by far not upto the mark. The college's reputation for promoting arts is the only thing it takes pride in. For the other streams, I believe it's a mere formality.

Placement Experience

1.5

I didn't have internships during my Junior College days. Although I hear the placements after graduation in TY BCOM are just exploitative means for companies to pick students. And for peanuts.

College Events

5

Kshitij, is the annual cultural festival of our college. Has a variety of events in principle, ranging from Sports to Singing and dancing to Management events, Impromptu activites, Fine Arts, etc. But again, alot of politics, nepotism and ragging goes on here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Pretty cheap I must say. I did my 2 years of Junior College in less than 12 to 13 thousand rupees. I did the State aided course because I had good grades in SSC. If you choose the non aided course, it might set you back by around 30k approx per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't. The college doesn't reveal any scholarships as such, unless some one is inquisitive enough to find out

Campus Life

2

The campus is tall, not large. The entire Mithibai college has its own building, various colleges stuffed into 9 floors. Approximately 20 colleges could be functioning in this building at any given point of time, I'd say. Alot of groupism prevails in these batches. Mostly brats and the privileged kids of the city come to attend this course. Partying is their only priority.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no alumni network whatsoever in this college. In fact, I was a part of the cultural festival called Kshitij and came in touch with a few seniors. They've taken very little effort to stay in touch personally as well. No alumni culture.

Admission

Thourough SSC result. The college has a 50% Gujju quota, so heads up if you're a Gujju and have comparatively lower grades. Bonus points for admission if you're rich, they're pretty big on donations and management quota, as much as they wish to hide it.

Faculty

1.5

The faculties are only expected to stick to the syllabus, which they fail to do at most times. Things get omitted, teachers are busy taking calls on their cell phones as well. It's no where in stature as compared to good commerce colleges in India. One of the good colleges is definitely NM College, right next building to Mithibai.
