Remarks

MIT is a very fun place to be in, with a lot of diversity, since people from all around the country come here to study. This gives one a lot of exposure, which is necessary for the long run. A negative remark is the semesters being very short. Due to this, things might get a little hectic, but it shouldn't be very hard to handle if one is up to date in class.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is excellent and up to date. The exam structure is as follows. You have two internal exams per subject of 15 marks each. Other than this, you have four open book tests spread across the semester, which are 5 marks each. The final exam carries 50 marks. The exams and labs are well set up and don't exhaust the student a lot. With focus on research, the course is excellent, since all the lecturers help you with your research papers and also in publishing them.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement in the college is excellent. It is well above the 80% mark. The college does provide internships. This may be with it without a stipend. The internships provided are all associated with top tier companies in the industry, with which the students gain a lot of experience.

College Events

5

There are a lot of events celebrates by the college. The odd semesters have the annual technical fest carried TechTatva, which exhibits a lot of projects made by students and also has a lot of completions. The even semester has Revels, the cultural fest, which has a lot of events including concerts, food stalls, games and a whole lot more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is moderate and not too high. The average fees for the course is 300000 a year, and the hostels have an average fee of 120000 a year. This makes it sound 1600000 across four years of engineering.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college has a scholarship for the top 1000 ranked people in the exam. The top 1000 people get a scholarship of a specific percentage, based on financial background. There is also scholarships for the topper of each batch every year. This is also based on financial background.

Campus Life

5

The extracurricular activities are excellent, with all sports facilities provided inside the college. There is a football field, a hockey field, 3 basketball courts, 2 tennis courts, and a gym, other than 3 badminton courts and a cricket ground too. The labs in the college are all equipped with modern state of the art equipments. The gender ratio is seeing 5:1 in favour of males. The college is very diverse and very tolerant towards all kinds of people. There is no discrimination.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel infrastructure is excellent, with a variety of rooms to choose from. You can choose a single AC room with an attached bath, or a double AC room with an attached bath, our even the same with a non AC room. There are also rooms with a common bathroom and triple sharing rooms as well. The rooms are very well maintained, with cleaners cleaning once every two days.

Alumni/Alumna

The network of alumni and senior students are very very helpful. They help you with your course, with choosing your electives, with taking a job or an internship, and also provide you with their knowledge and experience in the field.

Admission

First, I registered for the entrance exam. On giving the entrance exam, your results are displayed and then the admission process starts. You can choose any course you are eligible for in the college. The eligibility criteria is based on the result of your exam. I chose ECE because I like to work with microprocessors.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is excellent with very good qualifications. They are very experienced, and know just how to get the students to be interested in even dull subjects with a lot of theory. The lecturers provide a lot of practice and help students with doubts whenever asked.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Highest package offered for a chemical engineering is 600000 I guess this aslo a long back. But dont take a hope on placements here in chemical weapons. Do mainly focus on Gate exam. Get good score go for mtech or apply for good core jobs for interview.
