Experienced faculty members must be included more in faculty and should give more focus on practical experience and knowledge.
Course includes all the major subjects of civil engineering. You can learn detailed designing of a structure followed by analysis of existing structure be it a building, water tank, bridge or highway. It also includes environmental engineering which contains treatment of water, wastewater and polluted air. Surveying is also part of the curriculum. Yes industrie visits were organised by college in nearby Govindpura and Misrod Industrial area to give better understanding of subject.
At my time we have to search and do internship on our own. But now they are arranging internships too. TCS, L&T, Infosys, Wipro, Nagarjuna, Reliance info, reliance communication, Jaypee etc are some of reputated companies who visit for college campus selection of students.
Every year college holds annual function in which sport competition, drawing/painting competition, singing, dancing etc were held. Along with it once in a year they holds another inter college sports competition in which cricket, snooker, chess, football, badminton games competition were held.
Cash, cheque and UPI are options for fee payment. College has fee structure will be explained to you at admission time. And it has transparency. Tution fee, library fee, infrastructure fee, bus fee, sports fee, extra curriculum activities fee are breakdown of total fee structure. I used to 55000 rupees per semester as fees.
Yes college offers scholarship for SC, St students but not for general category. Actually, this scholarship is granted By government and not institute itself. College can help you out for applying education loan with bank associated with them. I had not applied for any loan or scholarship.
Gender ratio might be around 800/1000 but I am not sure. Campus life is good enough. There are many extra curriculum activities held by administration. Labs are good and each subject has lab. All major sports facilities are available and they participate in inter state level competitions too. There is no politics allowed in campus. And there is no sexual, ethnic or racial discrimination.
There is hostel facility available in college which has canteen for food and rooms are available in twin or triple sharing basis. It has also wifi, tv, water cooler etc facilities. Hostel facility is only available for first year students.
There is no such official network of alumni. But students are connected to them through personal relations.
I chose this course because civil engineering has wide scope. You can even change your field if you want. You can go for government job, private job, self employment, research etc. At my time of admission there was a entrance exam called MPPET. So As per my ranking and merit I chose this college because it had better infrastructure and it was older institute than others.
There were 6, 7 lectures per day along with workshops and practicals. Average age of faculty members was around 40. Right from Phd holder professors to March holder Ast. Professors are there in faculty. Most of the teachers were experienced and some of them were retired from industrial work place. Many had different membership of reputated journals and certification from industries.
After the 6th-semester students are eligible to seat in campus placement. And eligibility for placement is 60% in 10th, 12th and degree. And there are so many multinational companies are came for Computer Science branch and as compared to CSE for Mechanical Branch fewer companies are came in the campus. In the CSE branch, the highest package is 6 lacs. And average package 3.6 lakh. And for Mechanical and Civil highest package 3.6 lacs and minimum package 96000.
From 1st year onwards placement oriented sessions are conducted and after 3rd-year students are eligible for campus placements. There is a lot of tech and nontech companies visiting the campus with decent offers for students (mentioned on the college website). Packages range from 12LPA to 2-3LPA. The college always aims for the target of 100% placements. After the completion of my degree, I would like to get placed in a technical company with the desired package.
After the 6th semester or we can say from the 7th semester for placement students are eligible. TCS, Jaro and so many companies are visited our college and they provide many offers for the student. 60% is required for placement. The highest package I hear is 14 LPA and the minimum is 3 LPA.
Faculties are awesome, they are always there to help you/ guide you. During this pandemic, they worked a lot to resolve every query of each student. They are there 24*7 for you. Also, every faculty member is highly qualified and always helps you from academics to career-related queries.
Placements in our university are pretty good. The students are eligible from the 6th semester to get a job .many well-ranked companies like Microsoft and Infosys, Infotech, Cognizant and many more. The highest package was 1.2 cr and average packages are like 25-30 lakh per year. Almost 95% of students get placed on the campus. My plans are to get a good job and plan for the future.
The placement is one of the major concern for the students and after paying such high fees the expectations for placement is quite obvious but I can assure you that the placement concerns can be easily resolved because we have an individual cell for it CRC (CAMPUS RECRUITMENT CELL) where best companies are selected and called and every student will get enough chances to get placed in our batch 100% placement has occurred and the highest package was 11 lakhs and the minimum was 2.67lakh and average package was 3.5 and best companies came to our campus like Hitachi, emphasis, Tek systems, MAQ software etc.
