The college is a middle level college with good inftastructure, facilities, placements.

I have scored 41000 AIR in AIEEE in 2007. I heard from some of my friend that in westbengal there are a no of good colleges. Asansol engg college was one among them. Having good infrastructure, good placement record this college was good to take admission into.

The B.tech is a four year course. There were 8 semesters. In each semester there were 5 to 6 theory papers and 4 to 5 practical papersIn the last year we had an option to select two subjects on our own. I have opted for Mobile Computing and compiler Design.

Generally there isn't any internship offered by the college. Rather the college uses to arrange some trainings to enhance the skills. I have done the training on J2EE from CMC Kolkata. Some of my friends have done training on networking,dbms.

In the 2011 passout batch 80% students were placed and some opted for higher education.Below is the list of companies that used to visit the campus: TCS: 3.16, WIPRO : 3.16, SYNTEL:2.8, ACCENTURE: 4.2, L&T:4.2, BOC: 4.8, TVS MOTORS: 5.4. The salary figures are on lacs.

The college used to organize a technical and cultural festival.INFOQUEST: A technical festival that last for two days were organized by college where a number of technical events were used to organized and volunteered by college students and faculties. The colleges in east india were invited for the event.LEGANZZA: A cultural event that last for two days were organized by college where there were a no of dance and songs were presented by college students and faculties. In addition various artist were also invited to perform on this occasion.

This was one of the key reasons why I have selected this college. The college's fee structure was feasible for me. In 2007-2011 batch our course fee was 42 thousand per year. The fee must be paid semester wise I.e 21 thousand per semester.

The loans were available for seedful students but the student will have to visit bank for processing and document verification.Apart from that college offers scholarships to the student from economically weaker section.

The campus life was good there was 60:40 boys to girls ratio in the campus. Students from various states, culture and religion were starting in a friendly manner in the campus.Hostel life was also good one monthly party used to be organized were all the students from hostel used to participate it was a good way to create bond.

There were two boys hostel and two girls hostel inside the college campus. The hostel seats were limited and were alloted on first come first serve basis. The rooms were allotedon twin sharing basis. Apart from hostels there were a number of PGs available in the near by location and rentels were around 2 thousand bucks.In the hostel the students were provided with a zym, television in common room, TT court, basketball court, badminton court.The mess food was average.

The college alumni are very helpful they were always there to guide us whenever required. They used to guide us with the good job opportunities. The college seniors were also very helpful in providing the educational resources.

In every semester there were 6 theory examinations and 5 practical labs. Yes it was a hectic but managable.

The faculty of the college were good. I can rate the college to 8 on a scale of 10. Some of the faculties were extremely talented that there technique of teaching us was easy enough to get understand the topic of study.
