Entrance Exam : UGET Rank : 1024 MIT Manipal is a very well known college in India. It is also known for it's placement. The 100 % placement record with the type of companies visiting the campus attracted me to opt the college

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is extremely good. The deep focus on practicals with actual proto types provides good knowledge. Well established CAD/Automation and Mechanical Laboratories with latest software and hardware equipment.

Internships Opportunities

I have completed my internship outside the college.There is no stipend policy in the college (during my tenure from 2003 to 2007)teachers and workshops technicians help a lot to complete the projects and my batch mates have designed go-carting cars & robots

Tech Tatva : Tech Tatva is the annual National Level Technical Festival of Manipal Institute of Technology. It is the 2nd largest technical festival in the South Zone. Colleges across india come to participate the fest.Revels : Revels is MITﾒs annual national-level Sports and Cultural festival. Combining both art and logic.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is expensive. Now it has touched to somewhere 10+ Lakhs for 4 semester. No worries students loans are there. Some students may get scholarship also.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have never taken any Loans. Fees can be paid in installments also. Candidates selected for BTech course with good rank are offered merit-cum-means scholarship SBI Bank offers student loan.

Campus Life

HOSPITALS Access to hospital facilities gives student hands-on training LIBRARIES. Libraries are rich in print and e-resources SPORTS & FITNESS. An unmatched experience of games and sports STUDENT HOUSING Student hostels are their home away from home Lot of extra curricular activities are there.

Exam Structure

There use to be 3 sessionals exams. Per sessionals will have exams of all the subjects. So per subject you will have 3 scores out of which best 2 score will be chosen. After sessionals there used to be 1 practical and 1 final exam. Final Score addition of best 2 score of sessionals + Final Score

Faculty

Highly qualified and dedicated faculty. Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Department is one of the oldest departments in the institute. Faculty members have acquired PhD and the majority of others are pursuing PhD

A great place for learning and career growth

Placement Experience:

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

One of the best colleges or universities for B Tech and pocket friendly

Placement Experience:

The College was there for more than 10 years , but there was only Post graduate courses available , like M-tech , Msc , etc. The College for B-tech has started just before 2 years , there are no batches which has been output till now. The students are also waiting to see the batches to get output and see the placements taking place. As a student I am also eager about the campus placements.

Experience through words

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.

Admission here are very consistent and just two methods. No other method works here as MIT Manipal has very clear plans. Either you can qualify through Manipal Entrance Test or JEE scores but 90 percentile is required. MIT manipal - a complete review(hostel, nightlife, fees, academics)

I chose this college because this was the best option I had among others that I got accepted into. Comparing to others, MIT has much lesser intake and a much better campus life. I made it into all the private colleges that I applied to, but not colleges like NIT and IIT Other colleges I got accepeted into are BITS, VIT, CET, LPU, Thapar. I didnt choose BITS because of the higher fees.
