It is a State owned government Technical college. The fees is very low compared to other colleges, and most importantly, the environment here is very peaceful and you will always feel close to the nature. Also, the facilities like Science and technical labs, central computing facility centre, LAN in all hostel rooms are great. Also, the food prepared in the mess is not bad. The people of nearby village are very simple in nature.
The college is affiliated with Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun, so it follows the course curriculum set by the university and it is updated in nearly every 4-5 years. The books are provided to the students by the college library for the duration of every semester in every year, so you don't have to buy books from the market. Extra classes for competitive exams like GATE and CAT are also held for students. There was a shortage of faculties in 2015-16, but now for the past 2-3 years, the TEQIP faculties have joined the college, and now it's fine. The faculties are well experienced and interact with students.
Not too many companies visit the campus, but the training and placement cell gives the details of placement drives happening around the state on regular basis. Companies like BYJU's, POMPEII technologies visit the campus.
Events are organized every year in the campus for different branches/ years and also for the whole college. Seminars are organized nearly every 3-4 months. The biggest event that happens every year is SCINTILLA- it includes everything from cultural programs to speeches by renowned persons, technical events for different branches, DJ night, sports tournaments of cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, and indoor games. Any student can participate in any event.
A prize of Rs. 3000/- is given to some of the toppers of every branch in every semester. Also, the state scholarships for minority groups and OBC, SC, and ST is given by the college. The students belonging to these groups can fill the forms on state government websites and then submit it in college to avail the benefits. Also, a Tution fee waiver scheme is given to the bright but poor students in every branch.

In third year student become eligible for campus placement. But campus placement is getting in fourth year. Many companies are visiting in this college. Mainly computer science students getting placement easily then others. Many offers are made for this college. As I know highest package in this college for computer science is 17 lakhs in few years. But average placement of computer science is 4.5 lakhs per annum. There are approximately 70-80 percent students getting campus placement in many types of salary. There are many rounds are happened for campus placement. I try to getting campus placement in this college.
I appeared in jee advanced in 2018 and got a good rank of, All India Rank 1200. This is one of the best opportunities I got. I always wanted to be in a prestigious Indian Institute of Technology and as per rank basis and my branch choice IITR was best.
College Management is very good and helpful. Faculties and staff are very cooperative.
i think there is no bad remark about my college it is situated in the middle of the beautiful valley of tehri garhwal as it signifies the beauty of Tehri. Overall experience regarding this college is excellent my college infrastructure is excellent so i am proud of being a student of this college
The campus placements are not so good as not many companies visit the campus due to its rural outscapes hence very few students got placements no major companies visited the campus
The course is good. They have an average focus on practical learning. There were research conferences. There are no elective options but the students get selected on the basis of an interview and their proposal
The college is good but a lot of politics happens there. If the management and faculty wants they can take this college very far. A bit far from amenities. Good and clean hostel. Ridiculous mess service. Nice faculty. In the clouds. Good weather. No placements primarily because of the location is way up in the mountains.
