It's an Excellent college to learn and develop ourselves. The placements are very nice. Even you won't get such placements in NIT's
Course Curriculum Overview
Course duration is 12 months with 3 semesters, Each semester has 5-6 subjects along with a Final Project for the semester, and the individual subject projects. So in total, we can expect 3-4 projects per semester. In each subject, there will be a chapter that is fully focused on Industry driven knowledge and will be taught by industry experts.
Placement Experience
Companies for Internship(For Mtech Embedded): Intel, Volvo, GE Healthcare, GM, Aptive, Delphi, Netapp, Danfoss, Qualcomm, Mercedes Benz, GE Transport, Bosch, Mediatek Most of the companies will absorb the students full time. The College will provide special training for Campus recruitment.
College Events
RIVERA is a National level techno fest is celebrated by VIT on a large scale. Apart from that, At least one event will be there per day. There will be events from each and every department. Each event will be sponsored by the VIT and There will be many conferences which VIT will conduct. VIT will encourage people who attend any technical events during the normal days will be given attendance and free food
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very expensive. As I have mentioned, Two categories the category 2 will involve an extra 1 lakh more than category 1. The college will accept the fee from all the UPI, Credit/ debit cards, NEFT, online banking, And as well as through DD.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the college offers scholarships for Gate qualified students. Educational loan is also available. But I did not apply for any scholarships nor any educational loan. Gate scholars will get a stipend of 12K per month. Apart from that, the VIT will provide scholarships for Merit students. Criteria: >75% attendance, >8 CGPA. <2LPA Annual income of the family.
Campus Life
I experienced the best campus life. The gender ratio is quite good it will be 50:50. As I have mentioned earlier, there will be at least one workshop per day. I don't see any racism. we can find people from all around the globe. There will be no politics inside the campus. Everyone is treated as same. Which is attracting people all over the globe
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I have opted for the hostel facility. Basically, we have the option to choose the number with which you can share the room. We have the option for 1 sharing, 2 sharing, 4 sharing, and 6 sharing. With AC/Non AC facilities. The rooms are quite large and the Hospitality is very nice. We have common washrooms. For gents, there will be around 13 blocks. Each block will have a minimum of 7 floors. Along with that, there will be a mess along with each block.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, The Alumni students guide us in a very nice way. Even sometimes, they will refer us to their companies. At least more than thrice we will have interaction with the Alumni. Even I got my job because of a referral from alumni
Admission
I got the admission into this college via a Test conducted by VIT called VITMEEE. Where I got AIR 1096. There will be counseling, Where you can choose your course specialization. Since I am more interested in electronics and passionate about coding, I have opted for M.Tech in Embedded systems. There will be two categories of seats available i.e, is Category 1 and 2. Category 1 is General. Whereas Category 2 is for Donation. I got my seat in Category 1
Faculty
Most of the faculty have Ph.D. degrees. They will be taught in a very nice way. And they are always free to contact. They will guide the students very well. They will allow us to do projects or other technical stuff even during their classes. Most of the time our classes will happen in labs along with the practical exposure
