Extra curricular activities include sports, clubs, laboratories. A number of student formed clubs work in College which function according to the students need and interest. Clubs dedicated to coding(Delta and Spider), robotics(RMI), dance(DT), music(MT), acting, photography, shooting etc are functional. A variety of competitions are organised especially in fests that galvanize students in research. Clubs also conduct debates and quiz at regular intervals. All religions, race, caste etc are treated with equal respect and all students are pretty well United.

Alumni/Alumna

Final year helps the prefinal year a lot in terms of College life as well as placements. Alumini network of our college is still in rudimentary stage with dedicated cell being made for it recently. Some clubs currently help commenting students with Alumini to take any help required by students. Alumini are also highly involved in activities of College.

Admission

JEE MAINS - this exam happens twice in an year (January and April). I opted for chemical engineering as chemistry fascinated me since my school days. NIT Trichy ranked in top 10 engineering colleges in India for engineering and that's why I chose this college. Admission process includes writing JEE mains exam. Students can opt for the Colleges as well as the branches they are interested in and list them in order of their priority. This is followed by 6-7 rounds of counselling for seats based on the rank secured in exam. After completion of all counselling round the students are alloted particular College and branch.

Faculty

3.5

The average student to faculty ratio is 25:1. The average age varies between 40-45. Minimum qualification for being a permanent faculty is P. hd in the relevant course from a globally recognised College or university. Most of the faculty have a good stint of industrial experience and are also contributing in different government projects. Most of the faculty are very well equipped with the knowledge and skills in their area of teaching. The courses are made interactive as well as busy for students.
