Jadavpur University : My Dream Destination for Higher Education.

Jadavpur University was my dream institution. Each and every aspect of this place helped me to grow in a good human being. Online notice for admission came out in the month of April. Online form fills up the process and written exam, interview, and admission process completed in the next 2month. From July class begin. The campus, departments, faculty, library, and every other aspect are truly amazing here. In a friendly environment, a student can beautifully build her/his inner and outer strength, broaden their thoughts, and enjoy each day of campus life. During my admission process, I followed the Jadavpur university website every time as it's always up to date.

From my school time, I have a special attraction to the subject of History. Throughout my journey till Masters, this subject helped me to are about the history of the whole world, the beginnings, and the end of someplace also. This subject taught me the meaning of humanity in the true aspect. It also helped me to fall in love with traveling to different places. In Jadavpur University, the number during a master's degree in a class is 30. The faculty is well and good enough. Most of the Teachers have Degree od Doctorate in different aspects of history. They are really helpful and the big thing is friendly in nature. In the department, the exam system is based on Semester. Two internal exams or project submissions are must before the semester. The topics for internal was what faculty taught in class. The most important thing is, in this institution, a student has a full right to speak up their thinking.

The summer internship is available for students. Consultancy farms are also active to support students. Despite these companies, students prepared and worked on a project of Bamboo house, Open-air theater, etc. at the main campus.

Engineering and science faculty arranged for campus placements every year. TCS, ITC, BHEL, etc are attached to the university regarding placement. Their packages are also good enough to start working with them.

The yearly fees is around 5000/-. There are lots of scholarships available to help economically backward students. Financial support from Alumni Association, Vivekananda Student Merit Scholarship, other Scholarship is given on means com merit basis. Nearly 80 Scholarships are there to support students. Some quota-based scholarships are available. Campusing in Engineering and science departments and also in Arts, are open every year. Lots of news came up all the time regarding the selection of students in different and big fields even on international platforms.

Campus life at Jadavpur university is really amazing. During fest of Arts, Science, and Engineering whole campus joined every evening at Open Air Theater to witness the magic of voice of well-known bands and singers around March, April. Fashion shows, Dance shows, and some games are also the center of Attraction. If we talked about books, the departmental library is full of every kind of book and so as to Central Library. Students can access computer labs to sign in for different journals. Annual sports day is conducted by the Sports board for students, teachers, and for nonteaching staffs as well. Football match between teacher and students is a great scope to build a friendly environment. NSS and NCC departments work really well to maintain a cultural environment on campus. I was an Active NSS volunteer and represent my university at National Level Camps like most precious Republic Day Camp. There are Mountaineering, Music, Photography, chess club, etc run by students of Jadavpur university

After admission, the student can apply for the hostel and check the list after a few days. The main criteria are the distance. On this basis, rooms are allocated to students. Separate Male and female hostel buildings are there. Men's hostel for research scholars is also provided by the university. The meal is provided 2 times. The morning before classes, and at night, preferably between 9 to 10.30 a.m. and 9 to 10.30 p.m. Quality and varieties of food are well enough. Hostelers make a group of 3 or 4 turn by turn and took the charge of shopping of vegetables, groceries, non-veg items, decides the menu of an everyday meal. Workers at the kitchen are friendly in nature and cook good foods. In hostel rooms, beds, electricity, chair-table, wifi connections are provided for students. Once in a year, A program of 2 days, named Block Day is celebrated in January or February month. Special foods, functions, games, competitions are organized and everyone enjoyed that, both in Men's and Women's hostels.

Written Exam

After online form fillup, a student has to sit for a written exam, then the faculty declared a list of selected students for the interview. During an interview for the admission in Masters of Arts in Jadavpur University, Professors asked about the area of interest of the student, which section like ancient, medieval, modern history is a choice for special paper and discussed that area with some questions. Personally I'm Interested in Ancient History. During graduation, I already aware of the aspects and I revised those topics and that helped me to crack the written exam and Interview at Jadavpur University.
