Fee Structure And Facilities

The tuition fees for 1 year is around 6 Lakhs 60,000 and the total fees for 5 years is 33 Lakhs. The fees is very very expensive from my point of view but if I see the placement opportunities offered by the college then it is adjustable. The teachers of the college are well qualified and have professional commitments towards teaching their students. All of the teachers possess medical writing skills and the ability to work in a dynamic and critical environment. They clear the doubts of students related to community medicine and surgery in which students have most of the problems. They helps us in such a way that we have prompt approach in medical sector and improve our scientific and interpersonal skills.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
