Course Curriculum Overview

Bankura University has a detailed curriculum. It offers students all-round development. Its course curriculum has a very deep and insightful knowledge of a subject. Teachers also have a very deep and insightful knowledge of their subject. The exam structure of Bankura University is also very reliable. Students have to follow a semester system.

Placement Experience

Bankura University gave such splendid job opportunities to the students. There are many vacancies in the government sector each year so that students can grab a job as per their eligibility. Last year our most of the seniors got placements in a highly reputed company and their package was also very high as per their jobs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of Bankura University is much affordable. The fee for my course is 50,000 Rs. From which I paid 10,000 when I joined. Now as per semester I am paying my fees. If we compare to private college fees than its much more affordable. Scholarships are also given to students if they perform brilliant in academics to motivate students.

Campus Life

Bankura University has many extracurricular activities such as cultural, workshops, seminars, etc. Our campus also focuses on the enjoyment of the students from a monotonous curriculum to an extra curriculum. A student takes part in all the extracurricular activities because our faculty encourages us to do so. Labs, classrooms, etc are very airy. We have the facility of free Wi-Fi on our campus so every student can use it for their research work.

Alumni/Alumna

No negative remark I give I point out to my University. Everything is up to the mark. From faculty to studies, from curricular activities to co-curricular activities it is top class in all aspects. I am very happy to be a member of the library as I am a PG History student. Our University library is an upgraded library I think non-college has.

Admission

I have got admission in Bankura University online. I took admission in PG History. For taking admission in this course you have to do Graduation History as your compulsory subject in it. There is no entrance exam related to this course. A student must have 60% or above marks can take admission in this course. A student can fill-up the form and submit online. After that, a student called out for the counseling and verification of the documents. Lastly, eligible candidates are admitted to the opted course.

The teacher? aim in Bankura University is to maintain all-round development of a student in a coordinated manner so that the candidate prepares for their bright future. If we have any problem with a course they guide us at any time. It? been 1 year as a student I have a great experience with my teachers.

Fixed timetable Classes, regular assessment and class test
The professors are very qualified and their teaching style is excellent.
A lot of books are available in the main library as well as in the department library

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus and curriculum of Calcutta University is aligned with other entrance examination (eg.IIT JAM, JEST, TIFR, GATE etc.) Specially for the Physics BSc course. And the syllabus is updated Artificial intelligence bacis, Python Advance level is in syllabus, it's completed in college. Point to be Noted - The time given to prepare for the exam is sometimes ample but sometimes it is very less. So we have to prepare syllabus in time which is little bit frustrating.

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Likes

The discipline is followed very strictly.Also you have access to library which is good,teachers are helpful and no ragging policy which is strictly followed and has a decent environment.
Thery conduct seminars which encourages students.Many faculty members are knowledgeable experienced in their respective subjects and helpful willing to solve doubts beyond the classroom also.
The college has decent infrastucture including classrooms,labs and library .

Dislikes

While the curriculum is decent ,it lacks sufficeint practical implementation.More hands on projects,real world application and industry exposure would improve learning significantly.
Campus life can sometimes fell limited in terms of active student interaction.Opportunites for clubs,networking and collaborative activities could be improved.
The college comes under St tHomas School so the campus is not great it is compact and has a canteen.

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

The campus is big and full of greenery with the vibrant feel of nature.
The students of the same batch are friendly and helpful.
The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

Dislikes

The seniors are overly harsh when it comes to 1st year.
The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about this but I guess from the sixth semester the students are eligible for campus placements. This year a student from AEIE got a package of 11.2 lacs per annum and the average is around 4 lacs per annum.

The Framework is said to be great, with well equipped classroom and simply get to the libraries.
The offices at this college are great. In any case, these changes depending on the quality of the companies going by the college and the victory of the internship changes by the internship.
Understudies appreciate the campus life and flexibility to associate with others understudies. However, there are few impediments such as the division of floors between senior and junior. College life is nice and could be an inviting place for others

Dislikes

The college doesn't have lodging, and understudies must organize their settlement locally.
The college doesn't have a big field to play like any other big college

Placement Experience:

In Syamaprasad College placements and internships are given to the final year students. And the companies that offer placements are Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, etc. The highest package goes up to 20-24 lakhs and the average package goes to 6-8 lakhs. 70-80% of students get their placement in my college. At that time I planned to get the degree and apply to a multinational company with a high salary package with company facilities.

Good Infrastructure.One of the best campus.
Living ideal life.Living like Maharaj ji (monks of Ramkrishna mission)
Lab are the one of the best lab.All machines are in working condition .

Dislikes

Canteen food.The canteen food is not good for those who travel far from home.
In raining days roads are flooded.Other time every thing is at its place.
You cannot bunk classes.If you caught by Maharaj ji you will be punished.

Placement Experience:

5th semester students are eligible for the campus interview. The companies are coming in our college is L&T,TATA STEEL,JINDAL GROUP etc. 90% students get placement in our college. Average package is 1.5 LPA and Highest package is 2.5 LPA in our batch. I want to do higher studies.
