Remarks

The college management from what I heard was quite corrupt during my time and I've heard of many scams. But since the with the new director coming in and new management has done some spectacular work in revamping the college and making the college a much bigger brand than what it is already.

Entrance Preview

AIEEE, Opted for NIT Trichy because it is one of the best institution in india for under graduate studies and has an excellent placement record.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Was in ECE so the course was extremely competitive and hectic as the class was comprised of the best students in the country (toppers from every state preferred opting for ECE)

Internships Opportunities

Not many companies came to college for internship during my tenure but I heard the number has increased significantly since then. Some companies that I can rememberGS - 30000 per month

Placement Experience

4

Placements are very good in NIT Trichy, a lot of companies came to recruit and there was always more than 100% placement. Many students end up with more than one job.Amazon -13LGS - 6.5LZS - 9LGoogle - 15L and many more

College Events

5

Pragyan - The technical fest of the college Festember. The cultural fest of the college NIT Fest. The inter dept cultural fest Department symposiums - Every department conducted its own syposium

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was quite feasible. The hostel fees, mess fees, tution fees all together was very reasonable even for a mid income home. Being a govt engineering college the fees was low. This model should definitely be applied to other colleges as well

Fees and Financial Aid

Nope. I do not know of any scholarship.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life was the biggest selling point for the college. Rich in extracurriculars, and always fun competing with smart students. All possible clubs and activities were present and very active.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

For the first 2 years the hostels and mess facility was the worst. The buildings looked like they would collapse any sec, the toilets was unhygenic and the food could not be consumed by regular human beings. The later 2 years were significantly better, got new hostels and new mess. Still not great but manageable.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very strong, there are quite big and active alumni groups in almost every major city in india and foreign countries. The very accomplished alumni who do provide help in whatever way they can

Exam Structure

Labs: The labs were continuous assessment followed by a final lab exam. Very reasonable not very hectic but could have encouraged more research work rather than sticking to fixed experiments. Exams : First few semesters had 3 internal exams per semester out of which the best 2 were selected for final evaluation along with the final semester examsLater this was changes to 2 internal exams and one final exam. Was quite hectic

Faculty

3

Below par: They faculty was very knowledgeable but the teaching skills was very poor. There was very less encouragement or guidance for students to get involved in research

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
