Remarks

VIT is an awesome place to enjoy learn and build one's career in any direction. The support from the management is very good.

Entrance Preview

VITMEE, 350, This college is known for encouraging students for innovating and helping them have a different look at the world. VIT has one of the richest faculty and a nice campus. VIT also has a very good placement cell which looks after and provides many opportunities in many top companies. In short, VIT is one of an experience that one cannot refrain from.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course had all the required electives. Some of the important ones can be listed below. Cloud Computing Advance Networking Advanced Database Data Structures Network Programming and Protocols (Mainly Socket programming) Distributes Systems/PHP Rest were general courses.

Internships Opportunities

A lot of companies came to campus for offering internships some of them are: Net app HP Honeywell Cummins Vm Ware Alcatel Lucent Athena HealthIngersol RandIntel (Intel only takes interns and gives them PPO) Average stipend was around 15k to 17k, highest was 35k by Netapp.

College Events

The college has all types of activities all the times. There are different clubs as a dance club, literature club, photography club. Apart from regional festival celebrations we also have different activities. Two grand fests are there Gravitas - TechfestRiviera - Culture fest both are one of the biggest fests hosted.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are a little bit expensive. For any bachelor's course, it may cost up to 10lakhs or for Mtech its 5lakhs approx. These fees are including hostel and food.

Fees and Financial Aid

VIT helps in getting loans and also there are some scholarships that the students can take benefit of. To avail of the scholarships, the student must get in touch with the dean or program manager.

Campus Life

Performing at any platform in VIT is itself a challenge and requires really good effort but it's not only academics it brings out the team spirit and fun side also. There are many seminars, debates, and sports opportunities that VIT offers.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities were good and adequate. The hostel corridor was cleaned on a daily basis. There are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 sharing rooms as per the requirement of the student. The mess is also divided into north and south Indian food apart from the special mess. the food was good and adequate and there can change vendors if there is any complaint.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is good as apart from annual meets there are Facebook groups and forums. The alumni are also at prestigious places that take seminars for the students.

Exam Structure

Exams are semester based with GPA grade points. Both lab and theory exams are taken on a different subject. Labs are well equipped and supported

Faculty

The faculty was very experienced and helpful. They were always available and answered all queries. Faculty tried to explain the subject matter in different ways and interactively.

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

The college provides a friendly and supportive learning environment.
Most faculty members are approachable and helpful, especially when students need academic guidance

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education
often have limited seats dealing to intense competition and disappointment for some students

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.
