The UNIVERSITY is best for Chemistry that attracted me the most. All other departments are very good also. The Chemistry department contains very good faculties with good research background. The department attracted me most as my aim was a career in research. Also I heard from my seniors that students easily get qualified in Csir net. So I opted for the course in Chemistry
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus in Chemistry is tough here as we didn't have a good syllabus in my previous university. At first I thought I can't survive but the teachers are excellent and they made us feel Chemistry very easy here. The faculities are working here on several industrial projects and students have the exposure to industrial research. Dr HSP Rao, Dr MM BALAKRISHNARAJAN, DR BINOY KRISHNA SAHA are the best teachers in my department
Placement Experience
The students in my department prefer higher studies than working. However several companies like SRF limited, Chegg india limited, have taken students for job.there is a placement cell through which students are informed about the campus. There is every year an alumini meet being organized by ex students.
College Events
Campus life is a memorable part during my study. With so many seminars webinar are organized with foreign delegates participating. Festivals around every corner of India are observed here. Utkal divas, nuakhai, onam, the North East folk dance, bihu all are observed in the campus. Besides there is welcome and thanks giving ceremony in every department and hostel day celebration in a grand way for 3 days being observed. The students can participate their and actually these function brings the talents from every corner to the light.
Fees and Financial Aid
For top 15 students in the rank list in the entrance examination university provides scholarship. Also top 1% of students in each semester get scholarship here. Besides students avail several national scholarship like Prerana and Rajiv Gandhi national fellowship here. The PhD students get university fellowship.
Campus Life
The physical education department is very good in our university. cricket football volly ball tennis badminton are the sports available here. Campus is fully wifi. University has a enormous library with 24 hour reading hall and computer facilities. The central instrumation facilities in our university is enormous with NMR, XRD, UV, TDS and many more scientific instruments.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is available for boys and girls. 3 seated hostel rooms are available here. For PhD students 1 seated hostel rooms are available. Hostel is very nice and healthy. The toilets are good and sanitized everyday.The hostel has WiFi available. Rs.900/year is the hostel accommodation fee with several other fees.hostel facilities are available to all as students from every corner of India and outside India come and stay and study here.
