Remarks
The rankings and accreditations are what inclined my parents towards this university, while it is a great deal on paper I had a general idea about the poor student life and general discord between the students and management so it wasn't my first choice. I was convinced to opt for the trade off
Course Curriculum Overview
Quite a few of the professors I worked under were very intellectual and nurturing. The infrastructure also fosters opportunities to excel but again is not accessible to undergrad students. The curriculum structure seems outdated compared to most newer colleges. Industrial exposure workshops are more or less a PR exercise through tied up companies with no real hands on experience. Just a slideshow.
Placement Experience
Entrepreneurship cells are good, placements are best in class for private colleges and are what mainly draw students and parents here. anything above 8L p.a is treated as a super dream package but even if you're an above average student you'll end up with 6L in hand
College Events
I was on the organising team and it's more or less a cash grab, there are only a couple of things worth seeing and both the university and the students know this. It is all pretty meh except for the concerts. But still don't expect to have a LOT of fun as things are kept under a tight leash.
Campus Life
Academic infrastructure is great with specialised labs and incubation cells. The curriculum does not leave much time for you to access sports facilities and much like every private colleges, everything but breathing incurs a heavy fee. Also wifi is garbage and is closed off by 12AM
Hostel Facilities
They're filling up the hostels like chickens in a coop, stuffing and cramming as many children into rooms as possible. I only managed to get a non AC room that I had to share with 5 people in my first year. And even after that the rooms are reserved on gpa basis so grab a topper friend and beg him to keep you in his room. One hostel block (Q) got finished last to last year and they're already building another (R) just in the men's hostel. Expect a line for everything from food to washrooms stalls. Rooms range from 6 beds to singles and either with ac or without. Rentals will cost you anywhere from 60k to 120k
