I took PGCET to get in to PES. A master degree is basically essential in ur career if u want to be a Lecturer. It was a wonderful experience all through my course.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course I chose was Power Electronics. I had electives as Embedded Systems which was a very subject to learn more on electronic design. Moreover it helps in both electrical and electronics field. The second elective was AC/DC drives. In this we more like gain knowledge on the theory and working of various Ac and DC drives.

Internships Opportunities

The internship was very good actually. Companies like HP , Bosch, TCS and a lot more came in. In fact we even had teaching assistantship offered to those who were interested in teaching, which improves the knowledge delivery skills.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement at the campus is 5 star rating. You get all the fields of companies visiting the campus. Some of the companies are TCS, amazon, Flipkart, Bosh, Alcatel, HP, Accenture, Metro, Infosys, L&T systems, Intel , Microsoft and many more reputed companies.

College Events

4

To state about technical event- we had field trips to Ac and DC plants in Kolar and other places which helped us to understand the subject quite well.Coming to the cultural events - we had an open theatre to support the cultural events like dancing, theatre(PES THEATRE) and also the fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure was quite affordable. The College fees was 8000/- only which is very much affordable and the VTU fees was 42thousand , which really is quite expensive. Near a one and a half lakh will be needed for the course.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had been given a teaching assistantship with a 7 thousand stifend along. I was assigned to guide the first year BE students in their Electrical Laboratory.

Campus Life

4.5

There were all the support which one needs to open up their minds technically. There were open discussion, experts in particular field to address a seminar, technical quiz and lots of small camps conducted.

Alumni/Alumna

We had a very good rapo with our seniors. Intact they guided us in providing previous year question papers, notes and other helpful materials. Some of the subjects needed a clear info on the previous year questions and their probabilities, with the help of our seniors we managed to get the complete best available materials in our library.

Exam Structure

The exam sturcture was by VTU. So it was not too tiresome nor hectic, was good. We usually have study holidays in between subjects. Now the institution is under the PES University, a deemed institution, so they have their own scheduled syllabus and examination pattern.

Placement Experience:

IIIT Banglore is well-known for its placement opportunities. The college not only has high educational standards but also offers competitive placement packages. Every year, the college retains a 100% placement record, with the highest selection package reaching up to 46 LPA and the median wage package being around 19 LPA, which are very good packages in contrast to many engineering colleges of such stature. Members of the college placement panel are also highly professional and have extensive industrial experience.
