Very good campus with Brilliant students

Even the college director is being changed by government once in 5 years. So they always do exceptionally good. It's a common complaints from all over India regarding the mess. I would ignore them.

Course and curriculum were very relevant. Unlike other colleges, here you can do hell lots of research, publish papers etc. Considering any normal colleges, this is huge. But considering IITs, it's still at lower level. Needless to say this college is in top 10 engineering institute in India.

Without saying top notch in the country, especially for Computer science. Facebook, Google, Microsoft, name any fortune 100 companies, most of them come to the campus. When we were in 3rd year, our seniors would help us in the training. Mock tests, mock interviews etc would be taken by the seniors. They would advise which companies to look for.

Festember happens in the month of September. Top cultural event in TAMIL NADU next to IIT MADRAS. PRAGYAN, TECHNICAL FEST happens in the month of February. Again the most attended technical event in TAMIL NADU. With more sponsors all over the world.

It was very cheap when I studied. Approximately 24k per semester. The Fee is to placement salary ratio is best in India next to Delhi college of engineering. There are no donations accepted. Purely merit basis. But there are NRI quotas, which are costly.

There are national level robotics or cultural events or events like coding or car racing etc. Our college would always be in the top. Dedicated clubs are available in the college, where the students are enrolled from second year based on their interests.

When I joined it was All India Engineering entrance examination AIEEE. I got state rank 315 in general category. Out of 650 seats, 325 are reserved for non Tamil Nadu students and 325for TAMIL NADU students. This bifurcation was there since the college founded as REC.
