Fee Structure And Facilities

My course fee for a single year (total 4 year) was around 1 Lakh. You can pay the fees by Demand Draft, Cheques and Online Portal with option like Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking and UPI. There are no hidden fees to secure the admission in the college. Also the exam fees for every semester is to paid during the course. The college keeps in mind the financial conditions the students and allows the needy students to pay the fees in installments. The fee structure of the college is well defined with no hidden charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, I opted for the EBC Scholarship which is provided by the state government. The college doesn't provide any scholarship as such but the administration helps to avail the different scholarship provided by the State and Central Government. The EBC (Economically Backward Classes) scholarship is for OPEN category students whose annual family income is within 6 Lakhs. The scholarship amount is 50% of the total tution fees. At the time of admission you have to pay the full tution fees and the scholarship amount is credited to your bank account around the end of second semester so you can use it for next year admission.

Campus Life

The campus life of PCCOE is full of energy. There are strict anti-ragging laws in the college. Since the foundation of the college no ragging incident is noticed in the college. No discrimination is allowed in the college as it is a fundamental right provided by our constitution. The students live with harmony with every other student. During my college I didn't notice any kind of discrimination base of gender, ethnicity, religion.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. The hostel building are separate for boys and girls. There are two hostel bulidings for boys, old and new. The old building has two wings A and B. There are total 104 rooms in the old building which include one TV room, reading room, one Doctors room, Visitor room, one office and three Guest rooms. There is a hot water facility which work on solar energy for the hostel. Also there are electrical geysers fitted in each toilet block and they are used as back up for warm water during rainy season as the Solar system does not work in cloudy weather. There are two aqua guards fitted in the hostel for students. The capacity of the new hostel building is 209. Generally there are no waiting students for hostel admission. Hostel building is new, modern, spacious and adjacent to the college. Also the rooms are furnished with cots, cupboards, chairs and a study tables. Also the hostel is well secured and guarded for 24 Hrs. There is a mess attached to the boy?s hostel. The seating capacity mess is 176.

Alumni/Alumna

A PCCOE Alumni Association was formed in 2005 to have a strong network of alumni and senior students.

Admission

To get the admission in this college you have to choose PCM group in 12'th standard and appear for JEE Main entrance exam. Then you have to go through the CAP (Central Admission Process) rounds to get the seat in the college. The admission process generally start around the 1st week of July. I got the seat in 1'st CAP round only and completed my admission formalities on 19'th July 2014 and regular college was started from 4'th August 2014. Generally there are three merit list and if you have rank within the cut-offs you will the get seat in the 1s't CAP round only. Otherwise you have to wait till the last round. Regarding my choice for the college, I asked some senior teachers and some senior students about the college preference. Also I wanted to get the admission in Pune City only. Apart from the top colleges like COEP and MIT they mentioned me about the PCCOE college. So I researched about the college and this were the factors that helped me to choose this college.

Faculty

3.5

All the faculty of the college is well experienced with industry experience, field experience and has vast knowledge about the subjects. They help you at every stage of the course and guide you. Generally there are 22 lectures held every week for the 2'nd, 3'rd and 4'th year of the course. For the 1'st year of the course the number of lectures are more as the practicals hours are less. The average age of a newly joined student is around 18 years and at the age of 22 he gets graduated from the college. The faculties never hesitate to clear your douts regarding the subjects. Around 4-5 experts lectures are arranged every semester to get more knowledge about the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) course primarily due to its highly comprehensive coverage of core business aspects specially human resources. The curriculum is well-structured to offer a deep understanding of corporate administration and strategic management, which strongly influenced my decision to enroll. Regarding the examination structure, semester exams are conducted systematically every six months, with internal assessments, assignments, and class presentations spread across the term. The timing is generally manageable, and the difficulty level ranges from moderate to high, effectively testing a student's analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities rather than just memory recall.

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.

Really it is best college. Which gives us best curriculum during our academic year. The curriculum of college teaches me how to become a good lawyer. The arguing skills etc. There should be no suggestions from my side just to imrove the course curriculum as it is overall good. The timings and scheduled are fixed by college and university. Generally the exam is in two shifts 10:00 to 1.00 and 2.00 to 5.00pm.

Remarks:

Laxminarayan Institute of Technology is a reputed institute, when it comes to the field of Chemical Engineering. The placement at LIT for M.Tech students is also decent. In my batch, 50% of the students were placed on Campus, which is better than many NITs for Chemical Engineers doing M.Tech. The admission fees of 27,000 per year is also less in comparison with other institutes. The Teachers at LIT are also vastly experienced. Also the Institute was in my hometown, which made my decision even more easier.
