Remarks

Delhi University is amongst the top Universities, and I had some friends here earlier. And the reason for choosing Hindu College is because of it's NIRF ranking and the Maths faculty. My seniors told me that Hindu has the best maths faculty in whole DU

Course Curriculum Overview

Mathematics course is a complete mix of real life questions and some real maths. So it's good to have both, we get to know which one do we like the more, and can decide accordingly whether we want to do m.sc. in maths of mathematical statistics.

Placement Experience

For placements we have dedication Society named DISHA, it is one of the best placements Society in DU. The average package is of around 6 LPA, and there are a lot of esteemed companies who come to hire the talents from Hindu College

College Events

In the odd semester we mostly have fresher's of all the department, College fresher's and Society selection akd sports tournaments. In even semester, every Society/department organises their own annual fest, and College parliament organises Mushairah, Vaktavya, and Mecca(the best cultural fest in North India)

Campus Life

Campus infrastructure is amongst the best in whole DU, we have our Brand new auditorium this year, we have new science block, hostel for both, girls and boys, sports complex (which is 2nd grandest and well maintained in whole DU)

A Memorable College Journey

Likes

I like the college environment trees and plants also fountains .
Also like study material which is provided by teachers.
Also like eating in the hostel near the college.

Dislike more homework provided by the teacher

Likes

One of the strongest aspects of the institute is the faculty and the academic environment. Frequently members are generally experienced and approachable.
The teaching methodology includes case studies, presentation, group, assignments, group, discussions, projects, and practical assignments.
Another positive aspect is the exposure to corporate and professional life.

Placement Experience:

Lbsim has a structured campus placement process with participation from companies across sectors, such as consulting FMCG, IT/ITES , BFSI, marketing and operations. The institute provides students with placement preparation through aptitude test, mock interview interviews, group discussion, resume, building and corporate interaction.

course curriculum is relevant and mostly what the market wants in future and whats coming ahead for us. Python is taught as its going to be huge ahead and other things are also added. There is not much gap between mid term and end term as trimester are short.

Likes

We have well maintained library with more than 40000 books and documents, there are study cabins and all facilities required to have a productive day
There ample opportunites provided to students to amp up their game. The clubs and societies themselves take initiative to provide certifications to students, more than case comps are floated and students are encouraged to take part in them
The level of discipline and commitment expected of us is very similar to the other top MBA colleges, multiple assignments, deadlines, case submissions etc. The curriculum also requires students to make use of resources like Bloomberg and prowess.

Dislikes

The quality of cohort can be better. The quality is deteriorating from the senior batch to the juniors
Not being a residential insititute is a big challenge, as the load of work is the same as any residential insitute but most students also have additional buden of travelling which becomes very taxing in the long run.
There is some level of politics that goes on in student societies which can become toxic sometimes.

Placement Experience:

The college actively provides placement support, students are eligible for placements from the first trimester itself. Last year more than 150 companies took part in the placement process. The highest offer made was 24 LPA and the average was 12.32 LPA. 99% of the 2026-2028 batch got placed by April 2026.

Honestly, the curriculum is quite good and covers the main subjects needed for B.Pharm. I chose this course because it gives a good mix of pharmaceutical theory and practical knowledge. The practical classes help in understanding the concepts better and the course provides a useful foundation for further studies and future jobs in the pharmaceutical field.

Affordability in terms of fee structure and degree they don't have huge amount of fee for any particular program.
Market value as its the oldest and known college of delhi university and their new buildings makes it value for money college.

Dislikes

college do not have proper hygiene in terms of classroom and campus

its highly reletive as they claim and mention in their course structure. they overall difficulty level the exam level are also moderate and if its about the areas for improvement they should focus key campus and library area its should be accessable to all

Canteens are the best in this college and food is hygienic

Connectivity to this college is good just beside the college gate metro is there

Small campus size around 7 acres and large crowd
Library is really small ,there is not much space in library
Strict rules and regulations like you can't play untill 4 pm in the college ground

From the end of third semester students are eligible for placement. Tcs, accenture, Deloitte,amazon, samsung etc. Highest package is 42 lakh offered by Amazon. Eighty to ninety percent student get placed . I want to work in faang companies right now .

Inside Hindu College : Beyond NIRF 1

Apart from Hindu College, i applied for a admission in Chemistry hons course at Banaras Hindu University and Allahabad University and I got the confirmed admissions in both but I chose Hindu College over others bcz of its reputation, NIRF topper(NIRF 1 all over India),etc. No, I didn't get any rejection from any college i applied for. Admission in Hindu College means being in best of best in India. In 12th 90+ is mandatory for general category students and plus out of 800, 775 is also mandatory for getting Hindu College political science admission. Insight into DU college

We get admission in most of the college now through CUET exam which is held in May and based on your score in that exam and cutoff of colleges we get admission.My first preference was St.Stephan college but didn't got that it's cutoff was 698/800 while hindu college cutoff was 692/800 so I got Hindu college.Most prefered courses are BA Honors , Bcom that is why cutoff of these courses is high while science courses cutoff is less comparatively.In terms of colleges North Campus college such Stephan ,Hindu ,SRCC ,Hansraj ,Miranda have high cutoff as compared to South Campus colleges....Read More

Beginning of a new life- Hindu College

I choose this college as it got the NIRF rank 1 in 2024. The college is very diverse in terms of courses and students. The college has a campus area of around 25 acre. I have applied for the other colleges of north campus too but Hindu College was my first priority. I got it in the first round of common seat allocation system so I didn't need to bother to choose other colleges. I have to give cuet exam so that I can take admission in Delhi University. The eligibility for my course was to study mathematics till 12th class and the student who has given maths exam in cuet and 2 other subject and 1 language exam. Then the cutoff for this course comes in various colleges. College and course are allotted on the CSAS portal of Delhi University. "My Experience at Hindu College : A full review of Academic , Social , Campus life and beyond"

The reason why I chose my current college that's Hindu College is because firstly the hype around it for being No.1 which I feel it certainly lived upto and furthermore it has the best infra in entire DU , the curriculum the faculty , the fests , the interns and placements in each and every aspects it's the best which kind of makes it a go to mark furthermore , I decided for my course at the very beginning and thus only 2 colleges offered this for the boys that's HINDU college and VENKATESHWARA College , Venky is good but far away from my home consumes a lot of time and moreover Hindu is the best and something I've envied a lot furthermore there was no parameter which barred me from getting into other colleges as I had a very good score in CUET , furthermore the Admission process for all the DU college and my college is based on a exam named CUET , thus this exam decides ur fate , the exam is of 800 marks for BA hons and 550 not really sure for BsC , there are cutoffs for each college and for my college the cutoff was 765 for BA socio which u have to meet in order to get into the college after that ur documents are strictly verified by the college , also in case u submitted a reservation ccertificate and after that finally when it's approved by the principal u get to pay the fees and thus in this fashion u confirm ur seat in the college . so this is the entire admission process ......Read More
