Remarks

I want to do bcom so I opt for this college because its a best college in delhi University. And the location os North campus. Its a girls College which makes me more comfortable. The activities of this college is also very good like fest, department programs etc. The atmosphere of the college campus is very pretty and pleasant for studies.The placements of the college is very good top most companies are come for recruitment including india's top 4 companies.

College updated all the information of course in the website of college itself so anyone can see them.The faculties of our college is very good. I like the commerce faculty because my background is commerce so,I generally interact with commerce department teachers and students.

Top 4 companies was visited previous year like Deloitte,kpmg,EY etc for the profile of auditing, Insurance.Many students got selected through the placement. Placements department of our college is very nice.They work hard to acknowledge us about all the companies and the process of recruitment.They provide all the information.They helps us in every difficulties and solve the problems of students.They also conducted many activities which helps students for their career and placements.

My campus life was very nice.There are many ups and down throughout my 2 years journey,I got a chance in most of the activities to participate and i enjoyed very much.Their are many types of activities, festival, cultural programs which our college conduct every year.It was very big programs and all the students can take part in this types of activities.The management of our college is also good.Students as well as teachers give there best to conduct this types of activities.

Campus Life

Our college is located in north campus in delhi.The infrastructure of our college is pretty well and healthy.Our college has all the facilities which required like air conditioned library,gymnasium, computer labs,free wi-fi for students,many labs etc.The atmosphere of the college is very good and friendly.In my experience it is the best college for those who wants to study in Delhi University.The canteen area is also very hygienic. Our college also provide medical facilities to the students.Their is 30mins free green ride facilities for the students.

The campus is a bit short and has limited premises
The senior junior relationship which can be stressful for introvert students

Students are eligible for placements from the first year and there are companies that comes highest package is around 20+ Lpa and the minimum average is 11 lakhs for all the students after the degree.

Outdated curriculum negatively impacted the conceptual clarity
Too difficult to secure good grades due to strict marking
Mediocre support provided to student led initiative

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

The companies coming for internships are great
The experienced faculty who came from IIMs
The experienced clubs and their guidance

Dislikes

There is bit of mismanagement experienced,
There is last minute information available at the end moment
Disclarity in information throughout the whole semester

Placement Experience:

It is okay and it is based on luck of the student more than hardwork. You also have to network super well to get into good dream companies. It is a good place to get it out of luck through ATS sysytem.

Teaching style is good , the way they interact is overall good

In first trimister itself student become eligible for summer internships and then in next year that is fifth semester they become eligible for placement opportunities from the college itself and college try its best that everyobe get placed

Likes

The teaching faculty is really nice and polite. They usually help students even when u contact them after college hours.
The engagements and the quality of the social interactions in this college is also very good and very uplifting.
The quality of the infrastructure is very good compared to other colleges in du, considering its very new.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the thought of learning about the literature of the older times was pretty exciting to me while I was choosing the course. The curriculum however does prepares you if you want to continue ur academic journey in the English field.

The course load is too much and it sometimes becomes too hectic
The hectic schedule doesn't allow some students to follow their hobbies
The course is too much theory based and doesn't allow self learning of the students

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is excellent. With the average package being 1500000. Many companies like, BCG, McKinsey, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, and Credit Suisse come for placement. Almost all the students get placed. I plan to go for higher studies after the degree

Wonderful life experience that can't be forgotten.

Remarks:

Good Remark: The college environment made it possible for me to have great friends and be the person who I have become. The teachers and facilities of well-equipped labs, guest lectures, events, library, etc. made it possible for us to have a great campus life. Bad Remark: The college management needs to update the library norms that they have (which made it difficult for us to have books for the weekend to study) and also need to provide students with better placement opportunities from the same field as the specializations.

I applied to jnu, du, pondicherry university, university of Hyderabad and bhu. I got in all of them except jnu. After jnu , i found du to be other great option for pursuing masters . There are multiple colleges in du itself and I got drc according to my preference and cutoff. I put drc on fifth preference and its a good choice considering its ranking and overall prestige. To be honest I only applied for Delhi University through CUET and I selected many colleges from DU like Miranda, Hansraj, Lady Shri Ram, Kirori Mal, many from the south and off campuses and in the first phase I got this college DRC and this course BA Programme English and History and I thought that this was an interesting course so that's why I chose this subject and college but if I could have upgraded my choices there was a chance that I could get seleced in other college but I chose to go with this option and some of my friends also got that college. I did not applieed for any other university/college except DU. To get to DRC college we have to attempt the CUET entrance exam from which we can get admission here by filling this college in your preference.For general category the cutoffs get so high for specifically north campus colleges, But as I belong to ST so that way it was a bit easier to get admission....Read More

my awesome college drc
