Remarks
I opted for this college on the recommendation of my cousin who Is an alumni of the college. I liked the course curriculum offered as I was interested in Journalism and Literature at the same time and the course offers both as main subjects.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course offered a triple major in Journalism, Literature and Political Science/ Psychology. I felt that the syllabus was a bit outdated according to the current scenario but still the course provided us with proper exposure. Proper field visits and guest lectures were organised time to time to give us proper field knowledge. Pritha Sanyal is the literature teacher and has an in depth knowledge about the subject. She helped me a lot during my college days.
Placement Experience
Companies like Amazon, EY, Concentrix, BYJUs visit the college for placement. The college has a good placement rate and almost 60% of my batch mates were placed through the college. The placement process is simple and the placement cell helps a lot throughout the process.
College Events
The college had four- five different courses and a separate fest was organised by each department every year which was held on a vast scale with great events and activities. The college also hosts a huge college fest each year which is also hosted on a good level.
Campus Life
The college had proper infrastructure but did not have proper and dedicated play ground for each sport and activity. The college organises sports day every year. It has a huge library of 2 floors with proper reading and studying supplements.
