Students don't get much time other than academic. They are so much busy with academic life. That's why thay are unable to participate in extra curriculum activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
There will be theoretical course as well as practical also. Morning 8 -12:30 will be theoretical classes based on your subjects. Afternoon 2 to 5 will be practical or labs. There will be two exam mid semester examination and End semester examination. Mid sem will be 30 mark and end sem 50 Mark's. Remaining 20 Mark's will be for assignment and quiz/Class test. In project work you will get a chance to work with P.hd students who will guide you in your project as well teacher. It's not hard to get Placement in NITC a lot companies will be companies visiting there. But it is hard to get placement in core companies. In 3rd and 2nd year there will be industrial visit.
Placement Experience
The average placement of college is 65 to 70%. There will be companies for 3rd year students for internship. I didn't get internship from college but i applied off campus and I got it.
College Events
There are two college festivals at NITC Tathva and Ragam. Tathva is technical fest while Ragam is Cultural fest. Other than these two there will be celebrations of Holi, Divali, Onam etc. Tathva and Rangam both are 3 days programme. And every department will aslo have their fest like for chemical engineering there is Drav.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As NITc are government funding college so there will not be much fee. The fee structure of NITC is feasible. There is tuition fee based on different categories. And for DASA student tuition fee will be more than Indian student. Admission in NITC is only based on Jee Main exam. If you will ask your fee structure they will provide you every detail you want. So there is transparency in fee break down.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, didn't get any scholarship but there are many scholarships from central government which you can avail. For education loan you can contact SBI branch which is near by college . They will provide any information you need.
Campus Life
Campus life won't be that much good because you will get time on holiday's or weekends on other day you will be busy with your academics. As we all know in engineering college gender ratio is not that much good . In my class there was 13 girls out of 46 student. You will get chance to join different club like aeronautics robotics and teamunwired. Labs will be part of your academic. There will be sports event of 5 days and you can be part of NITC team and go for inter not tournament. There will be a separate event of debates as a college function.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I stayed in College hostel. As the college is so old , that's why old building rooms are not good as they paint in room to make it better. For 1st and 2nd year student there will be four students in one room. For 3rd year 2 students in one room. For 4th year every student will have single room. For PG room rent is around 4000 per month.
Alumni/Alumna
As we are connected with our alumni with social media. They are so much helpful. If there are free with their work they will help you any way you want.
Admission
As we know for admission in any NIT's we need to apply for Jee main exam. As per your rank in jee main you will get admission in different NIT's in different branches. For this a applied jee main. And got a rank based on that rank I applied in different NIT'S. There are six round of counselling. In last round of counselling I got NIT calicut.
Faculty
There will be four lectures in morning of 1 hour. All teachers ar well qualified and published no. Of research papers average age of teachers is around 40. All teachers are expert in their subject as they have done their research programme form reputed institute like IIT and abroad. Lecture will provide you a out look of industries and how they work.
