Remarks

PROS:-Top class infrastructure and one of the best placement opportunities among top private engineering colleges. CONS:- Heavy batch strength. Admission is done through VITEEE and it is conducted on annual basis. Better placement opportunities made me prefer this college over others. Senior school friends suggested me to join this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose electronics and communication engineering. The reason lies in my interest in the same. There are about one faculty of over 100 students. All faculties are PhD graduates from top institutes and pursuing research in their respective fields. As per the latest rules, there is only one midterm examination and one final assessment test both for lab and theory components of the subject.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 160000 per year

Placement Experience

Students have to sit for placements from the 7th semester onwards. Nearly all big companies like Amazon, Deloitte, etc. visit the campus every year. VIT holds the record for maximum placements made on campus. The average package would be around 4.5 lacs and highest around 36 lacs. Students should not have any backlogs to sit for placements. I plan to getting an MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

A Btech. degree at VIT will cost you around 15 lacs in a total of 4 years including tuition fee, mess and boarding charges and personal expenses. VIT also offers scholarships on the basis of VITEEE ranks and one is eligible for a scholarship up to 2 lac rupees. In addition to this financial assistance is provided for economically weak but bright students.

Campus Life

There are 2 main fests which are conducted. One is the fun fest called RIVIERA which comes among the best college fests in the country and features top stars from various film industries. Other than this there is GRAVITAS which is the tech fest. The library is world-class as it is largely digitised and comprises books and journals from nearly all streams. Classrooms are well aerated and all labs are air-conditioned. There are several grounds for football and other sports as well as basketball and tennis courts, volleyball courts, gymnasium, swimming pools and a lot more. VIT comprises of the most clubs and chapters in the whole country, a few to name would be- The dramatics club, Film society, radio station, IEEE etc.

the classrooms in specialization are air conditioned

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

Calm and Student-Friendly at DMI College of Engineering

Likes

The college provides a friendly and supportive learning environment.
Most faculty members are approachable and helpful, especially when students need academic guidance
The EEE department provides opportunities to learn both theoretical concepts and practical applications.

Dislikes

Some aspects of the infrastructure and campus facilities could be improved and maintained better.
More practical and hands-on learning could be included along with theoretical teaching.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.
